Absolutely awful! I decided to rent even though I saw some suspicious negative reviews and now I’m being charged $100 for the sink being plugged. Sink was plugged when we got there and drained very slow. Something that they should have known if they are properly inspecting the property. When I disputed the charge they told me to take it up with their finance dept which could be contacted at the same chat? Confusing check in, unsafe neighborhood, hard bed, very few kitchen utensils, 6 hangers for 2 people, uncomfortable furniture…An all-around bad experience! Definitely do not rent from Global Stay!

Check in process felt a little weird with having to send selfies, pictures etc…and a little confusing to get into the building. However the agent I called stayed on the phone with me until I got into the building safely. I see many people with a bad experience regarding deposit refunds. I got my full deposit back in the time frame the contract indicated. If you follow the rules you’ll have no issues getting the deposit refund.

The check-in experience was terrible: I had dead batterry after 24 hour journey from London and the property manager expected me to send a copy of my passport. There is no chek-in staff on site, they expect you to do everything by email. Arriving from a domestic flight would be all good - for international arrivals however that is a big challenge. With a drained battery I had to wait 20mins to charge my phone at the apartment lobby. In addition, the property is not cleaned properly. The bed and pillows smell. Nothing beats a proper international hotel stay.

excellent location for meetings at BMO, a 5 minutes walk. secured building and covered parking. staff was responsive, and door man was helpful. not a lot of restaurants in the area but 17th where everything is was about a 15 minute walk. would recommend is going to a flames game, rodeo etc.

Terrible. The unit we got was in super rough shape. Nasty carpet, screws sticking up to cut your foot on in the transitions, fridge dented in ten places, faucet broken so sprays water everywhere, blinds broken, holes in walls, bed missing a boxspring so worst 3 nights sleep of my life.

Nice apartment, but unfortunately it lacked toilet paper when we first arrived (notified them and they brought). Also emailed the morning of stating there would be a showing in the apartment we were in, took a while to figure out how to cancel showing. Was tough to reach office - only one person working.

The check in was horrible, I had to practically beg for the code to get in. Then the check out, you’re required to remove the garbage then bring the parking fob back up to the room once you’ve exited the garage. Not practical.

First, the check in process was the worst I've ever dealt with on any platform. They make you do things like send your photo holding your ID next to your face and all your guests. Next, I had to change my guests from 3 to 2 and they refused to refund the extra cost despite making the request within an hour of the booking. Second, there was a water problem in Calgary and the host demanded that I DO NOT SHOWER, WASH THE DISHES, FLUSH THE TOILETS. Despite also sending a notice that I will be charged if I do not load the dishwasher and run it. Third, parking instructions were terrible in the whole situation of picking up the key fob running up and down the elevator. Fourth, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. Staying during Stampede week when the weather was in the high 30's and you're cooking in the room. The “support staff” just argues with you and sends you nonsense documentation that have nothing to do with your issue. Bed pillows are super flat and they can't even provide appropriate drinking glasses where every glass was different sizes and kinds. It was a horrific stay on every level. Only pro was the view was nice.

Perfect location, stunning view.
Location is brilliant. Easy to walk to stampede grounds and downtown area. Simple 7 minute drive to the zoo. Gorgeous view. The only down side is some of the homeless right outside the building. The view is stunning. Little wear and tear in the unit but very clean.

When we arrived at 5pm , as many others have noted, the door was locked with no way to get in. I called and the lady I spoke to insisted it should be open ( it was not) and really offered up no solutions for me. Thankfully someone let us in and we were able to get to the unit. I’m speaking with the security guard the door is always locked on weekends and after 5 as a result of the major problem with homelessness and drug addicts that sleep / hang around the front of the building. Once we got the unit it was filthy, floors were dirty, bathrooms were filthy, toilet was broken, linens were dirty. When I mentioned it to the global team they said they would not it ( so sleep in dirty linens I guess) after calling Expedia direct they were able to get Global to send a maintenance man who did a quick clean and fixed a few things- and I have heard nothing since. I travel to Calgary every month for business and this is by far the worst unit I have been in.
