The breakfast was very good. The lady the worked in the breakfast area helped show my young son what to do with his dirty dishes. Breakfast was eaten off real plates and cutlery. The coffee I had in the morning was very good. They had real milk.

We had a room in the basement. As soon as you walked into the room you were slapped in the face with the overpowering smell of old aftershave. The room had no AC, just a couple of fans. The walls were badly dinged up and the furniture was a mish-mash of old mismatched pieces that looked like they came from a garage sale. Overall it was not a space that felt great to be in.

Stayed for 3 nights from August 1st to 4th. The location is great, and the hotel offers decent amenities like a nice spa, sauna, and breakfast. However, the building itself is quite old and definitely in need of renovation. We experienced a major issue during our stay — someone else was mistakenly issued a key to our room and walked in while we were inside. It was a shocking and very uncomfortable moment for both of us. When my wife approached the front desk to report the situation, one staff member was apologetic, but another named Bertha was extremely unprofessional. She began yelling, saying they couldn’t do anything about it, and even shouted that she didn’t care if we complained. Her behavior was completely unacceptable and made a bad situation worse. Thankfully, the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful — one even carried our suitcase upstairs as the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. There were other issues as well. Our room phone wasn’t working, and despite reporting it, no one fixed it during our entire 4-day stay. Housekeeping didn’t come on the second day, and even on the third day, after specifically requesting room service at the front desk, it was only done later in the evening after following up again. Also, on the second day, our room key stopped working because staff had mistakenly only loaded it for one night. Overall, the hotel has potential but is poorly managed.

One night stop near Calgary

This was part of a longer trip around the Rocky Mountains. Room was fine but had no air conditioning. It was warm out. They provided fans but it was still hot in the room. Breakfast was good. Lots of variety.
