I truly loved the location, access to main corridors, antique culture of original building and decor. There is gorgeous sports bar downstairs with big screen tv for sports. There is alao a pool table. Parking is street parking until the construction adjacent is completed. The beds are very nice and confy. The rooms are boutique style. Not really big but very very nice. Very modern en it is apparent alot of care and design went into completing these renovations 5 years ago. I would stay there again.

The property was nice, staff helpful. Only drawback was outside of their kitchen there wasn't anywhere to purchase convenience store type of things.

Beautiful Inn with so much history tucked into the community of Currie barracks. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, quiet and cozy. Excellent dining options and a grab n go cafe.

Cozy business trip stay

Is a single woman traveling alone for business, it did not take me long to feel safe and comfortable in this hotel and neighborhood. I enjoyed my dinners every night and chatting with the dining staff. It is a wonderful atmosphere. Room I had was a little snug but had everything I needed, except for a luggage stand. It is not ideal to bring large, clamshell style luggage unless you plan on completely unpacking it into the armoire. The neighborhood is walkable and includes two different distilleries with pleasant outdoor seating.

Okay, would recommend

TLDR: bring a fan, staff are awesome, breakfast buffet is quite good. Staff were excellent, from front desk right through to kitchen. A little confused by their own “do not disturb” sign, but really excellent otherwise. Very pretty location, quiet area, very close to downtown and Kensington. AC in room was inadequate, thermostat does not appear to be connected to the unit itself, temperature didn’t drop below 22 degrees centigrade the entire weekend even when set to 17, and windows don’t open which made sleep uncomfortable. Parking was a chore, especially with 2 large events occurring simultaneously, but we were able to reliably park within half a block. Noise was a bit of a concern, the doors don’t fit tight and it is hardwood floors throughout, but the guests were very respectful past about midnight, so not bad. Brunch buffet was well-appointed, kitchen staff very willing, almost eager, to accommodate celiac restrictions.

Boutique hotel with charm. The older building was beautiful and right beside a park. Rooms were very comfortable and easy to access from the entrance. I'd go back!

Clean, convenient location, quiet and with both a lounge and patio, this little gem is worth a return visit. Only issue is the glass doors on both toilet closet and shower closet leave little to the imagination when sharing a room. Need more privacy.
