Great service from receptionist on arrival who guided re parking at another local hotel
One negative was condition of plumbing as shower head fell into bath. Also dripping tap, into bath all night long!
I stayed in the Pommery suite. Enjoyed the spaciousness of the room, separate shower & tub. Breakfast was included and was decent. Primarily stayed here for the proximity to the Fitzwilliam Museum. Unbeatable location. Would stay here again.

Nice location, but we had not slept at all due to kitchen extractor (so we were informed upon asking for help) somewhere close to our room - incredibly noisy even with earplugs and left us feeling really awful before early flight. It's an old building which can be charming, but you can also hear people slamming doors on your floor like something is exploding. I would not stay again.

Lovely hotel on a picture perfect road. We had issues with our heating & the parking was a pretty expensive add on but other than that it was a great stay & I’d probably pick there again.
I had a great stay thanks to the lovely staff members of this Hotel. Habiba was incredibly helpful and gracious. I will recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Cambridge.
Comfortable and nice atmosphere. Bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was lovely but a couple of housekeeping issues and on the last morning the cold water stopped working. We didn't have breakfast as we were short on time and it cost £24. It would have been nice to have a cheaper continental option for those in a rush.

Overall, enjoyed our stay & wld rtn if £ was right
We booked a Classic room which I believe are the designated rooms when bringing a dog. These rooms (3 in row) were in a small courtyard area inside the hotel & each had an outdoor seating area which was nice, although we didn’t use them given Nov & 2 night stay. There was also an undercover seating area, which i believe was linked more so to the meeting room which led out into courtyard. Can imagine in warmer weather might be bit noisy but a sign did stipulate 11pm was latest that the area could be used.
Room was pretty clean tbf (I say that as often rooms which allow dogs can be less than desirable) and included a dog mat/bed & water bowl. Can imagine room gets hot in summer and was even the case in Nov. There was an aircon panel but this didn’t seem to be working (some hotels I know deactivate this outside of summer periods). The bath rain shower was nice but did drip during the night so we had to close batrm door.
£25pn night pet fee wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for hotels in area, but I question what this is meant to cover & maybe should be refundable if guest leaves room in a condition that ‘non-pet stay’ reg housekeeping usually covers. No sugar replaced for tea/coff which was a bit irritating to request.
Parking is premium in Cambridge and consd park&ride but this comes at cost if staying onight so we parked in Princess Anne CP which cost £27 total (2 nights 3pm arr-11am dep) & 8min walk.
Overall we enjoyed our stay with our JRT dog & would rtn if £ was right.
We stayed for 1 night, amazing stay. Cant say enough good things. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean and spacious. Location was also great. would stay here again in a heartbeat. Would recommend!
A classic ‘Hotel du Vin’ hotel - bed super comfortable, quirky and charming rooms, with excellent location. Park & Ride bus stop nearby and location is excellent.
We decided to extend a holiday with a one night stay in Cambridge. Was lovely and the hotel helped make it. We were early and just wanted to drop our bags but the wonderful lady on reception said there was a room ready and checked us in. She couldn’t have been more helpful, circling places for us on the map she gave us. Really set the scene. Later the chap in the bar was really sweet too and made the best cocktails. The study definitely paid off! We ate there and the wine was delicious and the food good.
Very nice and helpful staff and excellent restaurant. Definitely not a chain hotel, it has loads of personality, including the underground bar with its individual rooms.
This was a wonderful hotel to stay at for two nights while I accompanied my daughter with her move to Cambridge. Staff was lovely. Room (jr suite) was spacious and very luxurious.
The only thing to be aware of, is that there are many steps and “half” floors due to the uniqueness of the hotel.
