Madingley Hall really is beautiful and the grounds are incredible. It is the most wonderful place to explore and we spent a lot longer than we thought we would wandering the grounds and the house.
The history of the house and gardens is of course fascinating and there is an abundance of information available on both.
The staff are extremely friendly and work hard to make your stay a memorable one. They are also very knowledgeable about the history of Madingley and happy to answer questions.
Breakfast was great although I'd prefer non filter coffee but that's not really an issue. The food was plentiful, good quality and hot!
We'll definitely be back. We have more exploring to do and would love to see the gardens through the seasons.
Never stayed in such a lovely old building full of character. Park and ride 5 minutes by car £3.50 return into cambridge. Three horseshoes pub 5 minute walk away. 8 of us over 60 stayed and we all loved it. Thank you.
Bien situé, tranquille. Impossible de joindre l'hôte via le courriel hotels.com mais on aurait pu aller cogner à la porte à côté si notre question avait été urgente.
Donc à part la communication, tout a été parfait.
Beautiful grounds and great breakfast provided. Staff were very professional and helpful. Room was basic but clean with everything you would need. Perfect place to stay if you're driving near Cambridge
The hotel is located inside an absolutely gorgeous building that is also used as the continuing education classrooms of Cambridge. The main hall is also used as an event venue that is frequented by other colleges of Cambridge. There are multiple gardens outside of establishment that are very large and made a morning or evening stroll quite lovely.
The bedroom area in comparison is much more modest, as the rooms and hallways of this area was very much Bauhaus inspired - simple, clean, and comfortable.
I liked the property much. Lovely, interesting buildings; full of character. Very helpful staff and tasty breakfasts. Only problem was the bath which I found a bit slippery. I think it needs some kind of treatment to make it non slip. Otherwise very good visit.
A beautiful building in gorgeous grounds , lovely single en-suite room at a great price. Reception and dining room staff are lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend, especially for single travellers as plenty of single rooms available
Breakfast: just enough, should have been better, but the room: too poor. The ones showed at the website are totally different. It´s a fake publication.
Beautiful old building at the front provides amazing breakfast room but bedrooms are in more modern extention. The bedrooms are small but functional with basic facilities, tiny tv. Showers are very good and very clean.
We enjoyed our one night stay here. It is a beautiful place with stunning surroundings. The room was small and there was no lift. The breakfast was good. The staff were helpful and friendly.
What a stunning setting. As it is still part of Cambridge University the bedrooms are basically for students. The small double room we were in is basic but with beautiful linen, good quality towels and curtains.
The building itself and the gardens are wonderful to walk around and enjoy. Highly recommend. Use madingley park and ride to get into the city centre.
