It could be a great place to stay if updated/clean

Great location as next to services so loads of options to eat. Nice reception staff on arrival. The beds were clean and confortable but the bathroom was dated and full of mould and stains, as was the carpets and even the ironing table.

We had the family room. The main bed was comfortable but the two singles weren't. The bed sheets on one hand 3 stains on them. Room looked dated. Breakfast expensive considering it didn't have many options. No lift so if you have kids and prams etc you're having to carry them upstairs. There was one person on reception and he was in othered by other customer complains about broken bins, lack of duvets etc. fortunately I had credit and got the room for £50-something, but every other booking site was quoting £100+... It wasn't even worth the £50

Waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive at desk so we could check in it was after 10pm. Bedsheet had stains only one bath towel. Shower area was really dirty. Low tone noise and didn’t know where from

There is no elevator and I was given a room on the second floor with 2 big suitcases and 1 big handbag.Had to ask for the room to be changed to a first/ground floor room.The room is nice and spacious and clean.

I stayed twice with my family on two separate nights in the last week . The first room had a tap on the sink which was attached and lifted off in my hand attached to its hoses , the toilet was very difficult to flush . The 2nd visit the room was ok but unfortunately due to a massive illegal car meeting close by in a disused car park , we could not get to sleep due to the noise of screeching tyres and burnt rubber which went on until about midnight. This is no fault of the hotel but the owners of the services where the hotel is located need to get this sorted out with the police. We also noticed people trying car doors and trying to break into cars from our window. I would not stay here again due to these reasons . Ok hotel generally for the price and nice friendly staff but the location and noise is terrible even without the screeching cars .

An older hotel and you can tell. Our door wouldn't open unless you pushed the metal bar at the top. The toilet flushed only if you pumped and primed the handle. It looked clean but the carpet looked original. The restaurant was pretty good.
