Enjoyed our stay

The room was a good size, very clean and the curtains and bedspread were beautiful. There was a good sized fridge and coffee maker. There were a number of dogs but it was quiet. The beach is nice and we had a nice view from the patio. It’s close to downtown Belfast.

We liked that it was close to town. Didn't like the placement of the toilet in the bathroom. Too close to the wall on one side. Loved the ocean view and tiny deck to look out from.

They overlooked changing their mattresses - BROKEN

The strong chemical smells in many hotel and motel rooms often come from harsh disinfectants, deodorizers, and industrial cleaners that contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These chemicals can cause headaches, dizziness, respiratory irritation, allergic reactions, and long-term health risks—especially for people with asthma, chemical sensitivities, or other health conditions. Why it happens: • Many chains use industrial-strength products to meet strict cleaning protocols, especially since COVID-19. • These products often contain bleach, ammonia, quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), and artificial fragrances. • They’re used because they kill a broad spectrum of pathogens quickly and are cheap, but they linger in the air and on surfaces. You’re not alone: This is a growing concern. This was our second trip to Conial Gables. We love it there. Our cottage was adorable. It had everything we needed and the view of the ocean was breathtaking! I wish we could have stayed longer. It is so peaceful and quiet. We truly felt so rested after only three days. We hope to return soon!
