A small hotel. We had a street balcony so it was early traffic noise every day. Great location, 2 blocks from Malecon and 6 blocks to the big Mercado. Good food and nice pool

Hotel Castelmar is an okay hotel with a lot of historic charm. The beautiful antique/colonial style gives the property character, and the location is very convenient. However, the hotel is definitely showing its age and is in need of better maintenance and some updating. With a little more attention to the rooms and facilities, it could be a much nicer experience.
