I think the rooms are too close to the road so you could hear the vehicles going up and down the street so it was hard for us to sleep. Our AC was making noise one of the night as well. The ambiance of the hotel was breath taking. The resturant menu was limited.

There was no hot water during our one week stay. Drinking water should also be provided throughout the stay instead of only providing 2 bottles for the whole duration of our stay. Road noise was pretty loud but that didn’t bother us too much as we’re deep sleepers. It was nice that earplugs were provided. Overall the staff was very nice and made our stay enjoyable.

Everybody that was employed there is awesome my son and I had a really good time. The beds were all right The swimming pools were awesome. and the Malibu with pineapple juice was great thanks everybody at the Akuazul hope to come back oh yeah, the tacos are the best lol

I can't commend staff enough! I wish I could give them 10 stars! Security, front desk, housekeeping, the bartenders, EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. They have a whats app account they are very responsive to and communicate with you throughout your stay. The aesthetic of this resort gives very zen and primal. The road outside of the resort can be very noisy during the day due to traffic and construction around the property, but super calm and peaceful at night. There is a weird smell that comes from the mangroves but it could be because the resort is right on a beach (idk if it is Sea or Gulf) We walked down to the beach but did not get in - wasn't very accessible, very windy and didn't seem too safe. Your room card is what controls the electric in the room, so if you are out for the day (you have your room key with you), your AC is not running, no lights are on, etc. Super smart for them - but when you return there is also a weird mold or wet smell. Takes forever for AC to get cold and then it is not as cold as you would want or are used to. Not super sweaty in April but not super cool either. Our room had a deck that went right out to the main pool, so we could literally walk into the pool at any time, absolutely LOVED this feature. My ONLY complaint would be the kitchen - this is not all-inclusive resort, not many options, not expensive either, food takes a long time.

It’s a small property and offers limited options it’s by the high way so it’s loud and the ACs don’t really get cold but it’s a driving distance from everything including the airport

The property was nice but we had two rooms one room was fully stocked with a mini bar, coffee and coffee maker and towels, while the other room only had drinks, 2 bath towels, a bath mat and a hand towel, luckily I travel with my own towels so i never mentioned it to the staff.

Awesome 2 nighter room was great with deck to pool very relaxing. However for an adult only resort not much entertainment and lights out early within the resort. Restaurant food and service exceptional.

This place is charming. The staff is friendly. But this eco resort isn’t necessarily what a lot of travelers are used to. Nothing is inclusive. All beverages in the room are for a fee. No complimentary waters or anything else. The restaurants menu is limited, though the food is good. The beach isn’t very swimable as the mangroves make the sand more muddy and it’s extremely shallow until you reach a very drastic drop off. I was almost eaten by what felt like quicksand! It’s definitely a fun place for a party though. And the aesthetics are dreamy. I don’t think id stay again unless I wasn’t paying for it myself lol.

Selected as a one nighter in Cancun as we typically stay in hotel zone the night of arrival & departure. Calling this the hotel zone is a stretch. Definitely NOT in walking distance to the hotel zone attraction nor close to the free bus. The gentleman at check in & bell hop were super nice & friendly. Room was clean and nice water view. AC did not work well. Super loud from road noise. The main floor pool was in the shade & really cold. Upstairs pool has a nice view of ocean and pretty small. Our shuttle could not pick us up until 1pm. Check out was noon. We asked for a 30 minute delayed check out but smug grey haired old lady seemed to take joy in denying us this exception on what seemed to be a slow thursday morning. I digress.. The folks that designed and installed artwork did a good job. The BREAKFAST WAS SPECTACULAR. i had this duck eggs Benedict maybe the best breakfast in my life. Dani was our server was a pro server kind & smiling. OVERALL 100 BUCKS WAS CHEAP but I will not return.
