I did not like this Hotel at all. It looks old and cheap and the stuff isn't welcoming or helpful at all. There's always piles of laundry on every floor and the floors where always wet when raining because the water would come through the ceiling. The beach is small (public) and almost doesn't have space to swim. Definitely recommend finding a different place.

The server staff was great, for the most part were friendly and very helpful. However, I tried contacting before going on my trip weeks before hand and never got a answer. I tried everything call, emails, Facebook messages, and WhatsApp as well. Never got any answer from them. So made getting any additional information very difficult. So trying to arrange airport shuttle transportation was impossible. The first desk people changed mostly everyday we were there and some were not nice and not helpful at all. If you don't ask for anything they don't tell you. So the first two days of our trip we didn't know about extra activities they had and that you had to book reservations for the restaurants on site in the morning. But the cleaning staff did amazing respected our wishes .

The food was amazing, the buffet is super convenient. The ONLY thing I didn’t like was that the room had a faint smell of mold (which I’m very familiar with). Other than that 10/10 stay for the price.

Liked-most staff were very welcoming and accommodating, beach was kept in excellent condition. Specialty restaurants of Japanese, bbq and Italian were great, the service exceptional! Memorized several peoples drink orders through the week, brought another just as you were finishing. Did not like-immediately greeted guest services by an invitation to a time share and weren’t providing service after refusing. We were there as a family and did not want to sacrifice a morning of time we planned to spend with our children, yet were then turned down/misinformed/given the run around to make special restaurant arrangements already included in the package we purchased. The excursions staff member much more respectful of letting us decide/discuss what excision we wanted. Buffet was repetitive, every day mostly same thing or trying to use up supplies from night before. Specialty restaurant nights broke up eating the same meals everyday, basic tasting, limited or no spices. Limited food options at points needing to know when what place was open, what it offered when…not really something you think of on vacation. Food was really the big let down of the week, as a basic example not being able to get guacamole in Mexico was a first time for us after staying several other locations. The other down fall was not on Cancun bay, the resort 2 down that played musics until 2-3am, we kept the windows closed and it was quiet enough to sleep. Just nice to be able to listen to the waves.

While we had a wonderful stay with good food, service and room, our only grouse is the especially loud music that is played late into the night. While I understand people are on vacation and like to drink and stay till late at night, I think the music could have been reasonably less loud for those of us who like to retire earlier and get good sleep.

It boggles my mind how this hotel touts itself as 4 stars and/or has that many reviews that bump it up to a 4 star rating on multiple sites. I am just grateful we were only there for 1 day. Location - as the name states it is in the “bay” which means the beaches are not the pristine crystal blue water you expect from Cancun. I personally don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable going into that water. The beach area is small, but I would say it was surprisingly nicer than most the other properties on that same stretch, so that’s a positive. food - this is really where things go downhill. We were given a black and white Microsoft word pamphlet with the “amenities & restaurants” and found out theres technically only two restaurants - one changes the menu every night and you need a reservation which fills up quick, and a sushi restaurant that is only open two days a week. So our only option was going to the “Pineapple shack” by the pool in hopes to get some food for dinner at our ALL INCLUSIVE. Half the things we ordered were out of stock (which was told to us 10 minutes after ordering). We got the nachos, kids chicken quesadilla and burger… all were nauseating bad. Drinks - I’d suggest only getting beers. Pina colada and margarita were both gross. Staff - friendly enough. Probably the only positive of the hotel itself. The grounds actually were quite pretty. The room was atrocious. Very small, no towels, and mildew in the shower. But it had hot water and the AC was cold.

Resort is old but I saw they are renovating some rooms. It is a small hotel. The thing that bothered me most, was people working in the hotel. I am not a needy person absolutely not, but I would rather take coffee by myself than asking someone. Some buffet staff was rude. I can’t say all. People serving eggs are very polite, but other staff, not all, but most were very ignorant and mean, like I felt like i shouldn’t ask for anything at all. Asking for spoon? Better not. Do I really need spoon? wouldn’t come back to this resort, just because of people working there. By the way, the lady cleaning rooms did great job.

This is the most honest opinion I can give about tgis property, if you gotten a room on the first floor this is a 2-3 star resort. If you have a room on any of the upper floors thid is a 3-4 star resort. Keep in mind I only had the opportunity to stay in one room on the first floor, and one on the third. This was due to the fact that I had been sold on a 4 star experience, but started out with something like a 2.5 star on the first floor. I taled to expedia about the multiple concerns I had had with my first floor room regarding mold, mildew, and what I felt most important not a properly locking patio sliding door. I did attempt to have "maintenance" fix this, but the response I got was dont pull the sliding door so hard. To me that wasnt a sufficient response being that anybody with ill intent is not going to try to jimmy the sliding door nicely. At that point Id had enough and demanded to speak directly to the manager Juan. This is when my trip got better, he had us moved to an upper floor with a nice ocean view, clean, spacious, no mold, no mildew. The way I see it is the lower levels are for the "budget friendly" traveler, or those young enough not to care about having proper accommodations because they are just there to party, in which case when I was a younger travelling party animal the lower level would have been fine. That the short version of what I have to say about the property and room accommodations. This is not a 5star resort, anywhere from 2.5to4 based on room

We got 1 star service. Restaurants didn't open on time.Food was not refilled. Drinks were denied. We found hair and plastic in our food. The staff was rude enough to move us tables just because we had one empty seat. They take dinner reservations but serve one 1-2 items on the menu. We have no choice at all! Extremely poor service and zero respect for guests.Overall, it ruined our family reunion!

We had a great experience much thanks to the wonderful and dedicated staff at the restaurant and at the bars. The front desk were not as friendly and the people at the registration desk were pushy with sales. The same people Gave us wrong information about when to register for dinner so we never got to enjoy the bbq or la vista staying there for 5 nights. We kept going in circles and perhaps that could have been a language barrier. Perhaps more friendly and clear communication would help our experience. The hotel was very slippery with the rain coming in. Tough for our aging parents to walk around. We did not have a phone in our room. The AC unit had condensation that would leak inside the room and onto the steps going down onto the floors of the bedroom. Water from the rain leaked into the ceiling of the kitchen. The walls had some water in it for the master bedroom. The cleaning stuff was friendly, and also the gentleman who always came to stock. The drinks was great with so many options in Cancun. We would definitely definitely try another hotel next time.

Booked this hotel for me and my kids as their Christmas gift, Got to the resort, got checked in and was greeted by one of the workers who helps books excursion's and was immediately being told about another hotel and that all we had to do was go to this hotel and listen to some kind of sells pitch to get 2 free massages and to help boost her bonus! REALLY......NOT what I was expecting when we arrived!!! I booked the master family suite which was good, however not all 3 bedrooms has the bathrooms in the rooms! The 2 bedrooms with the king size beds had private bathrooms, the bedroom with the 2 queen beds did not! The 3rd bathroom was by the door so you have to go through the "dinning room". Maybe it would not be too bad if the "dinning room" was both a living room and dinning room. Not a lot of places to sit and be able to just relax outside of the bedrooms. They should add a loveseat and couch for more places to sit. ALSO, there was a LEAK in the ceiling and it was dripping on the table in the dinning room so we had to make sure to not leave anything sitting there that would be ruined. If you get room 121 I hope the leak gets fixed properly and not just patched which is what it looked like they did several times.
