Dated hotel, but nice rooms. The jacuzzi bathtub in our room could not produce enough hot water for a bath. Everything was great. Comfy bed was a pleasure to sleep on.

We got a balcony room which was on the first floor. The balcony had steps that lead to the pool and then a quick walk downstairs to the beach. That we absolutely loved! There’s only about 6 rooms on the property like this so we felt lucky to have gotten it. The food at the actual restaurant was not good. The restaurant looks fancy, but my shrimp were overcooked and my husband’s food looked like dog food…we couldn’t eat it. The good thing is that the staff was good about us only paying for our drinks and appetizer. We then got on a bus and ate somewhere else. There’s a liquor store right across the street which was very convenient. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

The property was very old and outdated, my room was placed in a back hallway where it was very unsafe and scary , next to a room they called the gym . My tv had no remote no phone to contact hotel lobby curtains broken windows dirty and the shower was broken . The lady at the front desk was very dismisssive as I asked her about getting another room and having an open balcony as I requested at booking prior to going there . I have to leave of site to enjoy my trip because this hotel wasn’t pleasant at all, the lobby bar guy was very nice and the waiter at the restaurant was nice also and it has a beautiful pool. But the room and the lady at front was extremely ignorant to my needs . My room dealt like a prison cell.

Good things about Cyan resort and Spa: - the massage was one of the best I have ever had - The pool bar staff are amazing and make the best cocktails we had on our stay Bad things about cyan resort and spa: - my cards, money and jewellery were taken from my room (locked) - The staff did nothing - The cctv doesn’t work - The staff do not compensate anything (even when it’s obvious its their fault things got stollen) - The security guard sleeps on the job - The towels are gradually taken through your stay - The bedding isn’t changed at all, even when requested - There is no smoking including vaping except at the main entrance (only some guests tho, you might get lucky) - The aircon works sometimes - They hassle you to sign a waver as soon as you arrive stating any rule breaking will cause a fine - You can not use the pool a second before 9am or a second after 9pm. - The restaurant doesn’t have half the menu and when you do order something, it will be missing things. - There are only 2 members of staff that can make a cocktail even though we asked for ones on the menus - There is no outdoor eating area as advertised - The hot tub takes around 2 hours to fill to a usable amount - The safe broke repeatedly - The key card for the room stopped working repeatedly - The balcony for our room was unusable, can’t fit 2 people and 2 chairs. - Generally rude staff Expedia have been unable to contact the hotel and we haven’t been offered a refund or compensation.
