This property met our expectations and more. The food was outstanding, the drinks were amazing, staff were always smiling and helpful. It rained the one day we were there, but we were able to get a bit of time on the beach and in the pool. The rooms were clean, stocked with amenities (drinks and snacks). Definitely would go back again.

I think the 5 star reviews are fake. There is nothing 5 star or “Excellent” about this place. I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels that were far cleaner and friendlier. The rooms are nasty, and crumbling apart with bad patch work everywhere. We had a serious bug problem in our room. Some of the staff are friendly but most aren’t. The food is mediocre and the portions are very small. Oregano Restaurant was probably the worst Italian food I’ve ever had (but did have a great waiter). The lobster restaurant probably had some of the worst attitudes I’ve seen. Miguel, in particular, was nasty and visibly irritated by having to serve. The beach is full of seaweed and the water isn’t clear. No one goes in it. That’s a shame since Cancun is 15 min away and has This is the first vacation that I’ve regretted. Would never return here.

The pools were too cold to swim. Hot tubs were maybe luke warm. The room ceiling fan was loud AC shuts off when you don’t move so you wake up soaked The main phone does not work Tv did not work 1 day. The room we booked 6 months prior was not available when we arrived (suite) The food was average at best, one goes through up the Indian food. Staff failed to restock the snacks, called when we got back and were told we had to wait until morning. At 7 am staff was grinding metal outside our room. We traveled with a group of 12 couples. This is the first and last time. Beware.

The staff is incredible. They go above and beyond to make you happy. The food options at each restaurant is amazing, and each meal is absolutely delicious- just as if you are home. The resort and the rooms physically seem a bit tired. I’m not sure exactly how old it is but I know it is one of the older resorts of the Excellence chain. I do hope they make some renovation improvements.

If you are a foodie, this is heaven. They have many distinct and wonderful restaurants that have amazing food and excellent service. All of the people I encountered that were working there were cheerful polite and very helpful. this is a place I want to go back to this coming year.

We recently stayed for ten days at this resort, which was nothing short of amazing. From the moment e arrived, the attention to detail and quality of service stood out. The cleanliness of the resort was impeccable. Every area, from the rooms to the common areas, was spotless and well-maintained. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had the best possible time. Their professionalism and warmth shone through whether it was the conceirge, housekeeping or restaurant staff. The food the restaurants offered was outstanding. Each offered its distinct cuisine and every meal was perfectly prepared. The flavours were rich and options plentiful. Overall the resort exceeded our expectations in every way. It's the perfect destination for those seeking luxury, relaxation and top-notch service.

We went there for our honeymoon and we literally have nothing negative to say. The staff is so amazing and hard working. Excellence was a very beautiful place! it was very relaxing and the staff from the arrival to check in to the staff waiting on us and the staff at the spa and the staff in the restaurants were absolutely amazing and the driver louis was great! Everyone made us feel welcome except for the tall lady in the main floor gift shop next to the coffee shop she was following me making me feel like a criminal, I had just recently spent around $300 if not more American dollars and had plan to purchase more upon my leave, Since she had made us feel we decided not to, other than we look forward to returning back to this place made our special anniversary very nice one that we will always remember thank you for letting us celebrate our 28yrs with Excellence!!

From start to finish the staff at Excellence were there to assist us in anyway they could. We loved our swim up suite and the fact that we could have our drink order and food order brought right to our deck when sitting out by the pool. The room was always thoroughly cleaned and the minibar stocked daily with drinks and treats. It was nice to have the Aroma coffee shop, which also had premade sandwiches, fruit, fruit juices, yogurt parfaits, or delicious pastries if you missed breakfast. 24 hour room service, and the Oceanside/ poolside (any pool) snack and drink orders brought to your chair were amazing. The restaurants were very good which made it hard to decide where to eat. This resort is worth the price for a true all-inclusive getaway. Thanks Excellence for making this a memorable Christmas vacation for our family.
