Sales push at every turn. We were excellence club and they tried to make us buy a $100 + dollar bottle of wine just to get a dinner reservation. Excellence club got us access to one pool and a bar and restaurant... other guests used the pool as well since there weren't bracelets to show who could/couldn't be there. Hated the upsell at every turn. There was only one buffet and that was at breakfast, other then that all sit down, only one restaurant allowed reservations (unless you wanted to pay extra). Food was great other than that, and once you figured out the way everything worked we loved it.

The beach is not as advertised. You need to let people know beach conditions. Its smelly. Its brown. And from staff even when sargassum is not an issue. Its still not blue due to the seaweed and grasses. Its not tropical like advertised. And when we called to ask about it they said it was amazing. The staff. The grounds are the only thing that saves this resort. Also. Not having a buffett to go to at any time is a big issue. Not everybody wants to come and dress up for 2 hour dinner service every night. What all inclusive resorts dosnt have breakfast lunch and finner buffet options. The other restaurants food was ok at best.

Room was cleaned every morning and night. Re stocked all towels, cleaned bathroom and re stocked all fridge items. Games staff were all so nice and always were hyping the guests up to play games and activities. Adrian, mark, and elicio were all fan favourites from our young group and were definitely a key part to our trip

Everything was amazing probably the best service I have ever experienced at any all inclusive resort. The food quality was top notch same with the alcohol provided the only negative thing which is completely out of anyone’s hands other than Mother Nature is the algae that tends to bloom and ferment on the shore during this time of year unfortunately this has been happening for the last 10 years but with that said the smell it gives off was horrendous other than that Amazing Amazing Amazing

I had another fabulous stay at the Excellence. The only downfall and this is not the hotel’s fault is the sargassum. The beach was murky but that is a problem almost everywhere in that area. Hopefully, it clears up. The staff is absolutely amazing! Angelo is amazing. Adrian took the time to walk me to the restroom when I was trying to get around the theater. This staff goes above and beyond. I love the Aroma bar and getting my espresso every morning. All restaurants were delish. I cannot recommend this place enough.

This resort caters to retirees for the most part. The hotel is clean, staff is extraordinary however the vibe is not for younger crowds. If you are in cancun to party, this is not the place.

This was the best all inclusive repeat I’ve ever visited. The food was phenomenal for all inclusive. The scuba diving was on site and PADI certified charters. The DJ situation needed a little improvement but nonetheless satisfactory. The staff was friendly and fun. This is now my flagship resort and I can’t find better for the price

This brand is truly a cut above the rest. We have stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres before but this was our first time at RC. Service was absolutely stellar from all angles- the servers in the restaurants, the poolside servers, the front desk staff, the bartenders, housekeeping staff, everyone. If you walk past staff, they smile and say hello. We spent several days just lounging and socializing in the pool and our favorite server was Jorge. He was so attentive and friendly. Throughout our stay we sought out his sections any time we saw him working. Our group is convinced that Luis makes the best martinis on the planet. The facilities (including the pools) were meticulously clean and in our room you could have eaten off of the floor. The food is a big reason why we opted to go back to an Excellence resort. The food is great! The bars are stocked with a big variety of liquor, including premium. Just like any nicer all inclusives, there is no limit to the amount of towels you can take and use at the pools and the beach. The room is stocked with snacks and full size liquor bottles. I don't know why we would go anywhere else.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. However, the beach was disappointing because the water was very dirty, so we could only swim in the pool. We also faced some issues with restaurant reservations. Overall, it was still a good experience.

The staff here are the best part. The service is excellent. But I feel like this is more of a four star resort, not a five star resort. Also know that July through November the ocean in Cancun is not pleasant. The seaweed makes the ocean not ideal and makes the air quite smelly. I would stay at this resort again, but I would definitely go the first six months of the year so that you can actually enjoy the ocean and the air.
