The property is an older property. The room that I stayed in the door latch was broken. The room had an odor. Saturday night after making it back from the club, I tried to order 24 hr room service and they never answered the phone. The pool area was nice and the location of the property was great. I think the inside of the rooms needs to be updated, and there are a lot of things on the property that need updating.

My husband, and I stayed at the Hotel Golden Parnassus in room 114 during our vacation in Cancun. Unfortunately, our stay turned into a distressing experience due to a serious security breach within the hotel. To our horror we were robbed inside the roomand several valuable items were missing. We immediately reported the theft to the reception. The hotel sent Officer and Manager to investigate. We were informed that there were no security cameras covering the rooms and that only a few people had access to guest rooms. The hotel promised an internal investigation, which they said would take 24 to 48 hours. We felt utterly unsafe and unprotected during the remainder of our stay. To our disappointment, the hotel lacked adequate security measures, such as cameras in critical areas. We also felt that the hotel staff's response was inadequate and dismissive. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at Hotel Golden Parnassus to think twice, especially if you value security and peace of mind during your vacation. no refund still.

Everything is really nice, clean, staff so kind, food options but the only thing I didn’t like is that the building inside doesn’t have A/C. The rooms do have A/C, but not the building. It’s open to give the beach type feel but it gets hot and humid. That is not to my like personally but it may be nice to other people.

i think if ur 45 and older you will like it but if your young please don’t waste your time here because extremely disappointed, the building is literally on its last lim staff is very nice food is ok and room is ok but the sheets and pillow are the worst literally i missed my own bed

7 family members total, stayed Wed thru Wed. My 2nd time staying, 4th time for my mom and has gone downhill bad. Used to be gated and security guards at both entrance and exit, not anymore. 4 Rooms total, room temps no cooler then 77 degrees, no fans available. None of our phones worked so we couldn't order room service. Cockroach in one of the rooms. Website states 5 restaurants, but 1 is only opened on Wed & Thur, 1 is closed, 1 is a Crepe station and was only opened 3 nights. 1 has no air and was so hot inside you couldn't enjoy your food. Sumo was delicious but you can only eat the same food so many times. Outdoor activities have gone to no activities. They didn't do the foam party, no live band, no dance parties. They used to do pool volleyball multiple times a day, now it's once. Other than volleyball, one day they had poolside bingo. Not nearly enough umbrellas for around the pool. It's very hot and they only had 12 available for use and wouldn't bring us one out when asked for someone that gets sun poisoning very easy. Multiple guest complaints on how bad it has gotten, and they will never come back. One guest had stayed 6 times and said they are done; it has falling apart, and management doesn't seem to care. Only good thing was the service workers. Bar tenders, waitresses, waiters (Oscar is awesome), cooks, front door people, activities staff (Martin) and room cleaners. Will never stay again unless they make some upgrades/changes.

The value was great, the events were amazing as well. Food options were desirable and the beach options were great. The property was outdated however, it was very quiet due to be “Adults Only” so no kids crying around. The view from our room was also amazing, overall a great experience.

This resort should be removed from Expedia- the only positive I can pass along is the staff is outstanding. But everything else was very subpar. Starting with the non working AC in nearly all the rooms- you can not get multiple room keys, the glass in out patio door was about to fall out because the sliding door was broken- the food was terrible, DO NOT GO TO THiS RESORT!

Staff was excellent as usual. Whole building needs Maintenace and upgrades. Only 1 elevator working, then that broke and was out for 3 plus hours. Limited dining available. We will not be back as we have stayed here 10 times and was extremely dissapoimted.

Needs a lot of repairs on building, this would be my fourth time coming and I still don’t see the repairs done and more things gone bad during the time I wasn’t there. The air conditioning for the whole building needs to be fixed. The highest it will go was like 78 degrees. The restaurants there’s five and at night time for dinner. They only have two of them open seems to be the same to open every night. They say that they have five restaurants one of them wasn’t even open when I went last time of year and a half ago, still not today. The telephones in your room don’t work so you can’t call for anything or room service. The last three times I went there entertainment was awesome. They’ve stopped almost all of those so it’s not really as fun to be there anymore. Hand the last three times I was there because the entertainment and that was so good made up for it being an older resort, but it’s going down down downhill, and I’m sad to say because some of the staff are so awesome and Martin he makes that place rock. But again a lot of the activities that he would be part of no longer are going on. My recommendation aren’t so good. Brought my family this time and I was embarrassed on some of the issues and the entertainment wasn’t there as I told them and told them about the places to eat to choose from. I also got hurt getting out of the pool and no staff member came to wrap my arm or give me ice. It was the people around me. I just couldn’t believe it all I can say is don’t go

The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. The food was subpar at best. The resort itself was in terrible condition. All the rooms, restaurants, and general indoor areas were very warm and muggy due to lack of sufficient air conditioning. We had to move rooms only to still have problems in other rooms. The rooms were very outdated and not very comfortable. In addition the 1 out of 2 elevators were out of order the whole time and at one point the 1 working elevator got stuck with someone stuck inside for about an hour and was completely out of order for a day or so, forcing everyone to use the stairs. The restaurants and activities were very limited and not at all what was advertised. We will mostly not be returning this resort.
