We are just waiting for the refund of the deposit of 100 US dollars for each room, we have been waiting for more than 24 hours since we left.

BE AWARE and PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE. I had to beg in order for me to get my VIP benefits. Also, they made me pay extra money which they say is for “resort fee or taxes”. This was not mentioned on Expedia site!!! I dont even know why expedia allow this hotel to be listed as VIP hotel. Note: For you all protection use a card that will give you protection by any fraudulent charge and if you decide to stay anyways please make a video of the condition of the room as soon you enter.

If you are going to Cancun for like a party vacation , this hotel is not it . If you need some few days away from home to go read or do soul searching then yes . The breakfast is such a lie . They cut three piecies of fruit and orange juice in a little cup . That’s it . Anything else you have to pay . It’s a good stop for one or two days stay but definitely not like a hotel stop . Don’t book transportation through hotel either cuz they left us stranded at the airport

Cash is king

The interior and exterior of the hotel was beautifully done. The staff and the false promises on the booking website was what made our experience bad. The staff barely spoke English, and we had to ask three times before getting requested services. When we arrived there were 2 extra beds in our room, and when we asked for them to be remove since we didnt need them, it took 3 days before someone came, even though we asked multiple times. The kitchen in the room, which was not fully equipped, as written on the website, didnt work either. We almost had to 'force' the staff into our room to have them help us fix the hotplate. If you wish to cook, you need to request the equipment from the staff, but you still dont get anything to clean with, or a cooking board and propper knife to cut with. On the website it also states that there will be free drinking water. This meant that you only get 0.4ml per person, per day. The breakfast was also not a highlight and completely free as written in the booking. It consist of toastbread, a toaster, and six bowls of cereal topping (ants were crawling out of it), but if you want yoghurt or milk, you need to pay for it. You get a few slices of fruit served to your table, and if you ask for more you need to pay for it. The staff presents you with a bill and says everything is included, except for the service, implying that we need to pay them in tips. The staff will look as you are are paying to make sure you leave a tip. 4 stars but should be 2.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was ignored at the front desk for about 15–20 minutes. It was a baffling experience—they showed no concern that I was waiting. I had to repeatedly approach them before they finally assisted me. The customer service was terrible. As an Expedia VIP, I was supposed to receive a food and beverage credit as well as a room upgrade. However, when I inquired about the credit, the staff had no idea what it was, and I never received it. Aside from the poor customer service, I only stayed for one night, and the hotel itself appeared to be in good condition with well-maintained rooms. Unfortunately, the negative customer service experience left a lasting impression.

Hive Cancun needs to educate staff customer service. The continental breakfast is just fruit bowl of about six small pieces of fruits. I asked for iron and iron board, said it will come and never did. Room was too loud next to the busy street. Housekeeper cleans and fixes the bed cover and linen but left the trash full, no refill or coffee pods. It was not worth to be in this hotel. Too far from the highlights cancun or activities. Save your money and go else where.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hive Cancun! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions yet tucked away enough for peace and quiet. The dining options were excellent, with a variety of delicious dishes that exceeded my expectations. I especially loved the breakfast spread—it was fresh, abundant, and catered to different dietary preferences. The property itself was stunning, with well-maintained facilities and thoughtful touches everywhere. The pool and spa were a highlight for me—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! It’s clear they genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. I’ll definitely be returning for another stay!

They give me snacks without letting me know I will be charged for that, on the website it says breakfast is included, but there’s no breakfast included only coffee. It also shows on the website you can use the sauna on the steam room, but it’s an extra cost, and nobody knows they don’t tell you that ahead of time. Overall, the hotel was clean, but the staff was absolutely horrible and all the things on the website shows that they serve they don’t at all and I would not stay the hotel again.

Expedia and this hotels website said they have an airport shuttle. I messaged the hotel inquiring about an airport shuttle one day before our arrival I received an automatic response that someone will be available to assist me soon. After no response in eight hours, A messaged again, same response. Then when we landed at the airport, I messaged them and tried to call them and only received an automatic message. We had to pay for an expensive cab. When we got to the hotel, they did not have a key for us because their software was down so only one of us could leave the room or we had to ask to be let back in. Warning the coffee pods are an additional three dollar charge per pod!!!! They only give you two one decaf one regular. Room was OK. The staff just seemed to be unable to do their job, maybe because of management… Huge water leak in the lobby. Also, it’s not that cheap so, why would anybody stay here?

Everything was good the pool that was above our room could’ve been cared for a lot better maybe covered up so that the dirt and debris can’t get into it the breakfast that was included could’ve been a lot better I’ve never seen such and having a microwave in the rooms would’ve been great we had so much leftover food that we could’ve reheated and eaten but we did have a great time and would definitely be back
