Property was very nice. Staff was great. My 5 year old loved the girls that ran the Kids Club. Food was really good. We only tried out 2 of the restaurants and did the buffets the rest. The only issue we had was the mosquitoes. I know it was mostly due to the time of year and the recent rain but they were bad. We didn't get to enjoy the taco festival that was outside at night. We heard from other travelers that other resorts had the same issue that week. So not blaming the resort.

We stayed at Hotel Marina El Cid in Cancún for five nights. Overall, the resort was nice and had a lot of potential for a great stay. However, the last three nights were extremely unpleasant because of the overwhelming number of mosquitoes that came out in the evenings. My wife, children, and I were constantly getting bitten, and it really affected our ability to enjoy the trip. It didn’t seem like the resort was doing much to address the issue—there was no noticeable spraying or prevention efforts. If not for this problem, our experience would have been much better.

Was a beautiful property and my family really enjoyed this resort. Wish there was a bigger variety at the nightly buffet. But the staff was wonderful and friendly. I think there wasn’t enough shows throughout our week with our kids but would recommend the place. The kids loved the pool!

I paid extra to stay all hotel marina in the family room and when we got there, they were sending us to the sister hotel because they said there family rooms were closed due to off season but i WAS able to book and pay for that and the sister hotels were by far not as nice and convenient as hotel marina. This was VERY upsetting, we wasted 2 HOURS after we arrived and we were a group of 9 which 5 were small tired kids from the flight.
