This small resort was above our expectations. We spent 4 nights here and most of the reviews were spot on. The beach was immaculate. We were always able to find loungers. No seaweed at all! You can order food and drinks on the beach. The Deck-Never had a bad meal here. Quesadillas, wraps, guacamole and pico were our favorite. I'd caution against the burgers because we saw the meat sitting in the sun uncovered for about 20 min which is scary. Umami-the tepanyaki table is only included if you stay 5 nights, but the sushi bar and dining room doesn't require a long stay or a reservation. We had kimani rolls, shrimp fried rice, octopus and fried chicken. Octopus was rubbery but the others were superb. Teriyaki chicken was bland with no sauce. Chianti-Included with 3 nights and it is a must. The Lasagna was so meaty and flavorful. Veal costoletta was juicy. Breakfast buffet had minimal options but was still tasty. French toast was always fluffy. Omelets were typical. They had something like a fajita mix with meat peppers and onions as well as hot sandwiches as options too. They didn't have trays of bacon but had some available for omelets which was weird. Rooms-If you don't upgrade the room gives college dorm vibes. Small with just the basics. We upgraded to the master suite. Well worth it. The resort itself is old, but they are working on renovating it. Think old English cottage meets Santorini Greece. Quirky nooks and levels are kind of awkward but charming.

Honesty is essential in these types of reviews. Peoples hard earned money(owners/guests) are heavily involved. So I will be as honest and forthcoming as possible. NYX is quite literally built like a fortress. She has too! Because of the tropical weather that is unpredictable..she is built to take a punch. I was impressed. Unfortunately, if you have poor walking issues..any movement is a challenge. Example..to go upstairs you need to go downstairs then upstairs again. If you have difficulties this may not be for your stay. The food was ranged from ok to pretty darn good. The service and hospitality were excellent. Presentation was lovely at every meal. Lovely staff. Very helpful and genuine smiles. Our room was neat and tidy. It actually stayed cool without any mechanical help. The location is on the strip. For a few pesos catch the bus and save some grief. They are fast and reliable 7 days a week. You are walking distance to the river walk. La Isla malls and aquarium. We had a terrific time to be honest. As mentioned, a more active lifestyle will have your knees thanking you. Lovely beach, roped off for safety. Overall, a fun time.

This is a beautiful property. The staff was wonderful and took great care of us from the moment we arrived. Make sure to visit Alberto and Raffael at the Magic Bar. Fantastic bartenders. Mateo in the Chianti restaurant was awesome. He even introduced us to the chef, Freddy who was equally personable and welcoming. There is a lot of attention to detail at this property. The lighted make up mirror in the bathroom was definitely appreciated. The beach is clean and beautiful. The pool staff had activities and trivia contests all day long. We even met a few new friends. We were offered a room upgrade for a small fee which we took advantage of and our balcony over looked the beach with stunning views of the water. We were offered a complimentary dinner at Tacos Villanos and it was delicious. The food as part of our all inclusive was Excellent. Which I did not expect. I will Say that there are several stone stair cases. I’m sure there were alternative routes but if stairs are a concern you should check with them. I will Be coming back. By far my favorite place in Cancun.

The over all stay was nice, the staff were very friendly and attentive! The breakfast was really good, the lady who made the eggs, did a great job! The Italian and sushi restaurant had some tasty food but the buffet and lunch was only ok! The beach was lovely and was kept free from seaweed except for Sunday, which you are charged an extra $16 for environmental tax which the lady says cleans the beach! This extra charge was not mentioned on Hotels.com, it says all taxes are included! They bumped us up to a junior suit with a sea view, however they tried to charge us €50 to start and we refused! The room had no elevator as and was on the 4th floor. The room itself was very spacious, and the bed was very comfy, but it was Very out dated compared to the room we stayed in the last trip! The shower was also VERY dated! The AC was very noisy and they didnt change the bed sheets even though we had split something on them! The coffee machine was not great in the room and They also didn’t refill the coffee or give us clean cups every day. Two doors down there is an abandoned hotel that really is an eye sore on the beach.
