Upon arrival, the first room we were assigned had a leaking toilet. After reporting it to the front desk, maintenance was sent to repair it, but the strong chemical odor left behind made the room unpleasant — and for me, with asthma, it was a serious health concern. We asked for a room change, but none were available that night. We were told to check out the following day at noon and that a new room would be ready by 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM, which left us scrambling to get ready for a 6:30 dinner reservation after spending the day at the beach without access to a shower or change of clothes.
On top of that, despite having the “Do Not Disturb” light on, we were woken up every morning by staff either trying to clean the room or collect room service trays.
That said, we still had a really good time with our friends and made the most of our trip. The resort has potential, but at this price point, the service and attention to detail simply didn’t meet expectations.
