Solid experience with many small bumps along the trip. The staff at times didn’t offer much help after multiple request. The staff were nice. Definitely recommend for an older couple. Not much night life but they have events shown on their app. The road to get there is terrible but that isn’t their fault.

Such a beautiful resort. Kids had a blast with the swim out rooms and choice of activities. Able to book excursions easily at fron desk. Booked and out on a snorkeling boat in 45 minutes! Great family vacation.

The food was a hit and miss. Rita’s tacos was good but the rest of the restaurants were just ok. One night the food was good but it was served cold. By the time the server came back around it had been 20 minutes so it was no point in replacing. Room service did not have a lot of options. It was hard to get a decent drink there. The only bar with a menu was compass bar and they only gave me a menu on the last couple days of a 7 night trip. Every other time the bartender would give the mocktail menu and I would add a shot to it. When they finally gave the real menu the new bartender said “we don’t have that here” when I showed him a picture of the mocktail menu that they kept giving me. That’s when they gave me the real menu. It seems that they don’t want to give you the menu so they can keep serving the drinks that are easier to make. The points system they had for the mini bar was annoying. You could only use it on beer, soft drinks, and snacks. It was inconvenient having to go to joes merchant shop every time and drop it off to the room The room was clean and easy to get to the bar. There was a lot of stinky seaweed but that’s not the hotels fault. It was easy to get Ubers to and from the hotel.

The resort was very nice, the Food was excellent at the Italian restaurant. The food at the Latino restaurant was average. The breakfast buffet was really nice. The lunch at the beach house is manageable but the dinner at the beach house restaurant is bad. I gave four star, one star was taken out because of the beach. They really try hard to keep it clean, but no one can swim because of the sargasso. The staff at all over the resort is friendly except at the reception. The staff at the reception tried to sell me an expensive room and they offered immediate check-in, when I declined, they gave rooms to others while I sat. This does not look nice for someone who comes to this resort for the first time. The pools are really nice, there is a kids friendly pool and there is adult pool, the are well maintained and cleaned. People should definitely visit this resort. It is definitely a value for the money I would say better than Hilton next to it.

Our vacation was lovely! The property was clean and well maintained. Sadly it was seaweed season, but the resort was doing their best to try to clean away as much as possible. Event host, Colin was amazing and kept us involved in all resort activities.

hubo muchos detalles que deben cuidar, el teléfoni de la habitación no funcionaba, la bicicleta de smooties que procionan no funcionaba, la lancha para ir al snorkel descompuesta (eso nos dijeron), la verdad som cosas que parecen pequeñas pero en realidad deben cuidar mucho. que pena que nos tocara esa experiencia. al final tambien el chico de la marimba ya no lo dejaron tocar y la estabamos pasando muy bien, todos los huespedes nos molestamos. Cuiden su hotel, aun es muy lindo, pero esos detalles les pueden costar mucho. El personal del hotel muy bien! todos nos trataron excelente!

Peaceful Vibe, Great Service — But Limited Entertainment and So-So Food I recently stayed at Margaritaville Cancun and had a mixed experience. The staff were excellent—friendly, polite, and always helpful. The pools were clean, the drinks were well-made with popular brands, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The spa and massages were also fantastic. That said, the food was mediocre overall, with the seafood being the standout. Room service had limited, low-quality options. Despite being told to reserve the morning of, dinner reservations were always booked until 8:30 PM. Entertainment was lacking, aside from a nightly live band and one enjoyable beach BBQ with acrobat performers (the highlight of the week). Most activities required pricey excursions. The beach itself was nearly unusable due to nonstop sargassum, which created a constant foul smell—even though staff worked hard to clean it. If you’re looking to unwind by the pool with good drinks in a quiet environment, this could be the spot for you. But if you’re seeking great food, a lively atmosphere, or beach access, you may want to look elsewhere.

The place was average, tired decor but perfectly fine. Not 5 stars. Overwhelming disappointment was the stench of sewage all the time and the sea was unusable due to seaweed which is not the hotels fault and indeed they were trying hard to clear it.
