Great staff and service. Everything was good except the sargazo in the beach that caused a terrible smell, which the hotel can’t control, and the lack of good air conditioning in the closed up areas like restaurants.

I really didn't enjoy my stay. First off we couldn't enjoy beach because of seamoss. The rooms had ants in them. The racoons act like they live there. We had to wait hours for service for towels or I had to call them like 3 times and when they did come they only brought 2 when there were 4 people in room. No all night pool.

I stayed at Ocean Coral & Turquesa starting July 23, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We paid $972 for two people. Our room wasn’t ready, so we were offered a free “upgrade,” which I signed for. The next morning, I noticed a second unauthorized $972 charge on my card. It never pended and posted while my card was locked. Management claimed they only saw the first payment and offered no help. I’m still waiting on a refund. We were also denied entry to the Italian restaurant. The hostess claimed we looked like we came from the pool, even though we were dressed appropriately. Meanwhile, other guests dressed the same were let in. It felt racially motivated. "Their people" are prioritized for drinks, seating, and service. The food was bad — undercooked burgers, hard pancakes, and rude staff (especially at the front desk). One of the housekeeping staff stole my perfume, used it all, and left the empty bottle by my suitcase. And the raccoons? One came from the kitchen, jumped on a chair while we were eating — they’re everywhere. The beach smells horrible from seaweed. Overall, it was not worth nearly $2,000. Between the overcharge, discrimination, theft, and poor conditions, I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

This is not a toddler friendly area. I went here for my 2 1/2 Year old and he was not allowed inside the jelly club area where the kids play. My room was also terrible, bed uncomfortable, walll sockets to charge my phone was not working, I had to constantly call the lobby so I can get my room cleaned. Stay away from this resort if you have kids!

We had an amazing time...the hotel is beautiful clean and all the staff are so helpful, and friendly. Always smiling and willing to do anything they can to make your stay perfect. The only reason I gave a few low stars is due to the smell of the beach and the fact that you cannot even use the beach due to the seaweed issue but thats isnt the hotels fault. Everyone was so kind and I have never seen such hardworking people. They are all amazing. We Used UBER to get around and it was safe. The restaurants are all 5 star and also the buffet. Pools were clean and the activities were fun. Elizabeth and Andrea were the best!!!

Avoid this hotel at all cost and honestly avoid booking with Expedia. The hotel was old and dirty, the service was terribly slow, and the food was not appealing. We stayed for one night and decided to check out after the first night of a 9 night stay. We were told since we are paying the hotel that they would refund us the remaining nights. They ended up charging us the entire amount and Expedia has not been helpful at all in trying to get this corrected.
