Enjoyed this resort with my family. There were so many things for kids to do and everyday was truly joyful. staff were kind, attentive and wonderful. We were assigned an Expedia agent at the check in who greeted us and helped us with all the dinner reservations, room service requests and additional questions. Shout out to Luis, Alma and Gael. overall, great experience and we would love to come back.

The property seems just too large. Long walks to things, limited food options for “regular” guests for lunch and anytime snacking it seemed like, was a battle at 5am between everyone trying to put their stuff out and claim a pool or good beach chair spot, lots of staff walking around but only 1 bar tender working in the high population bars, food was decent but too much of the same thing day after day in the buffet

Don't listen to those who say the resort is too big. It's the perfect size with everything of importance located at the main lobby. All restaurants, activities, night club, etc. are at the main lobby. We stayed in building 30 and it was fantastic! Partial beach view with a wonderful panoramic view of the entire property! The buffet was decent, not great. The beach restaurant breakfast buffet was wonderful, and their lunch options fantastic! Room service DISGUSTING! Undercooked terrible pizza with soggy chips, chicken burger made from cheap chicken fingers, etc. I asked a few times for the pizza to be very well done, and it would always come the same. Undercooked and doughy. Brazilian great, steak great, Italian good with great wood fire pizza, Fuel awesome and Guys burgers was good. Beer was cold, beach was beautiful and the weather was sunny and hot so I ain't complaining. Just critiquing! Shout out to Alma in guest services, the bartenders at the club and the older gentleman bartender at the beach bar. Yeah, his attitude was hit or miss but I had no issues and he makes THE BEST OJO ROJO IN MEXICO! Try it, you will not be disappointed! Wish I could remember his name! Maybe Miguel? Oh as for the chair situation, it is no different than any other resort. If you want chairs by the pool, GET YOUR ASS UP EARLY! 6AM works so 1 Star review because your lazy?? You have an hour for me, then I start grabbing towels and taking over ;) Just wake up and enjoy the sunrise!

the service was subpar from start to finish. I couldn't imagine coming back to this resort. the rooms weren't cleaned the entire week we were there. they would stop by and make the bed and that was about it. room service was "temporarily unavailable" majority of our trip. I found that sliding workers $20 bills was the only way to get a reservation at any restaurant. cabanas were rented out for weeks so families were expected to sit out in the blazing sun with their young kids. i could keep on going but nothing will change at this 1-star resort.

Great Family Resort

We had a great family spring break stay. We had a star class swim up room that we loved. Our butler was Oscar and he was absolutely amazing! We were celebrating our daughter’s 16th birthday and Oscar went above and beyond with extras. We hung out at star class pool daily and Jody was our server. She did amazing, always had a fresh drink in our hand. We loved the Beach, lazy river and much more. Definitely upgrade to star class.

Overall we had a great experience at the resort! The beach was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the kindness of the staff. Areas of improvement would be the amount of pool chairs. I was not able to find a chair once to use at 9 am. The beach was a little easier to find a chair. It was also difficult making dinner reservations that weren't at 9 pm. The food was good but the drinks were a little watered down.

Initially I loved it but after being here a few days there were so many things that were wrong. The bars outside close too early, the food is mediocre, the alcohol is bottom shelf unless you pay for star class. The room needed to be painted. The tv was barely working and they need smart tv’s. But the staff was amazing and they made sure the experience was great. More cabana chairs. Swim up bars should close at sundown or later. Put lights around the pool. Play music that came out in 2024.

About as expected. Has all the amenities and friendly, welcoming staff. Food is much better in the restaurants than the buffet and reservations are difficult to come by. Luckily, our booking through Expedia gave us a concierge at the resort named Luis who was a fantastic help and made our trip so much better by helping with booking restaurants and checking in with us throughout our stay. Thanks Luis!

My family of four (14y/o and 12y/o) had a nice vacation! Expedia benefits give you Concierge service. Our concierge, Itai, was extremely helpful. He gave us a property and room tour at check-in, helped us get the dinner reservations we wanted, and quickly took care of any in-room requests that we had. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Tepanyaki was our favorite restaurant, and the other food was good as well.

Had a great family vacation at PH. Had all the usual things form an all inclusive but staff were very good, entertainment/activities and ammentites were solid for what you pay. We upgraded to the stars package and having our concierge service with Andy and Dorian was hugely worth it. Booked all our dinners, went out of their way to make sure everything went well and followed up. Very proactive and very friendly and very accommodating. Not sure if it was because of the starz but all staff seemed very wanting to help and proactively asking if anything can do. Highly recommend for a new quick family vacation.

The bartending staff was not friendly at all. They would only wait on you if you had money out to tip. They are all old and don’t interact with the guests at all. They are all grumpy and it doesn’t seem like they want to be there. The facility itself is old and outdated.
