I loved the complimentary shuttle service. The area isnt the most convenient, but the service was and I felt safe traveling with the driver. The staff was super friendly and helpful

The staff at the property is very nice and hospitable. Service can use a bit of improvement, not super disastrous but, the morning breakfast opened a bit late which made it nearly impossible to have breakfast before leaving for an excursion. Dinner order was a bit of disaster ordering is very limited and the few items ordered were made very late. Hit dog for example was forgotten about and provided as leaving to go as a courtesy due to the lateness of the service. The cafe has very limited dinner and drink menu. The excursion that was booked with the concierge Mayan Excursion was very rushed and not that great. I realize it’s time limited but the Mayan community tour is not even worth going you get limited information and have to basically run through it. This hotel is in the hotel zone but you are not really able to get anywhere without a car. Ubers and taxis are available but there is a bit of tension between them because they are fighting over the rides when there is plenty of business for everyone. Taxis like to say they are very secure but their pricing is outrageous. Ubers are better priced and I took many of them and had no problems. At night it appeared there may be some fast and furious racing going on. It was a bit noisy at night. Our room was on the entrance side of the hotel which is on the main road for the hotel zone. Overall this hotel is okay, but would not be my first choice unfortunately.

Overall it was a good stay but basic things like were missing 7 days, ex. not enough towels for four people , toilet paper, paper towel, sponge for dishes and dish soap. In 7 days I had to go to the reception to ask for all those things and came back two other times because they forgot to bring the items we needed. Breakfast was okay, but because they were many people in the morning, sometimes they were not enough plates, mugs and glasses. We had to wait and technically Rosa was the only one picking up all the dirty dishes so she couldn’t handle the whole breakfast. So not enough people to handle the heavy breakfast time.

Very poor hotel, bad location, not recommended
My wife and I came for a vacation to Cancun and unfortunately we did not expect our stay to be this bad. Although it was a cheap hotel we did expect the minimum from them especially because they are in Marriot group. These are the things we noticed and happened that made our stay unpleasant: 1. Breakfast: breakfast had very limited options, the vienoisserie (croissant, bread…) were made unprofessionally, most breakfast items were heavy mexican dishes like frijoles, tortillas, soups… that honestly smelled very bad in the morning especially when there was cooked chicken and beef. 2. The in-room bathroom: The bathroom only had towels and some soaps as amenities, no toothbrush, no cotton swabs, no sponges. The shampoo and showergels smelled so bad they also felt like dishwasher soap on us. There was also hairs in the shower and the shower head also had black spots on in like mold. 3. The room: There was a very bad smell in the room all our stay, it honestly bothered us a lot. 4. Location of our room: We booked our room with a view, they gave us a room directly next to the parking. When we asked for a change they told us it was fully booked now but we should wait till another room is available another day. When they told us a room is available we didn’t want to change because we already settled down and unpacked and we had a lot of activities to do in Cancun. 5. The receptionists barely speak english and we were finding it hard to communicate questions we had about our stay.

I stayed for 10 days and 9 nights. The front desk personal were awesome ! And huge accolades to Faby and Francisco :) Continental breakfast was good, the cleaning staff were awesome. The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The 2 pools on the roof were awsome. Location is a little out of the way so personal transportation is recommended or an Uber/ taxi. All in all, i recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back. Thank you Residence Inn by Marriot
