I would give this place 4 starts only because it is a little older of a hotel. Rooms were clean all the staff did a great job, super friendly and kept everything well maintained. Food was good but if you are going to stay more than a week it starts getting a little redundant. Beaches were well maintained and the entertainment offered by hotel was great. Be wary of the people trying to sell you daytime excursions, do research first, if you plan on doing that sort of thing. Safe and fun for all ages I would definitely feel comfortable staying with my children.

The hotel has a nice, clean pool . The beach area is very small and gets very crowded and stays that way all day. They have a volleyball net for play, which literally takes up half their beach area. BTW, the hotel faces North, so no sunrise or sunset views from beach. My suite was kept clean, except for the fine sand kernels that were everywhere. They do not vacuum, only sweep the rooms. Two big complaints. 1) the halls at night were always noisy after midnight as the drunks wandered down the halls singing, laughing and joking. The noise continued until about 3 am, 4 am on weekend. 2) One of my breakers in the electrical box was buzzing. I reported this to Customer Service TWICE and they NEVER showed up to fix it. The room phone and pamphlet do not show the numbers for housekeeping, room service, etc. You have to go to the lobby for any assistance. I had a beverage guy stop by and give me very warm beers/soda to put in my frig. I only counted 3 restaurants. The Japanese and the Italian ones were 1-2 hr. wait, so I only had the buffet (ok). No idea where the other 3 listed were. This was my 3rd trip, 3rd hotel. Would stay at the other two hotels first.

The grounds were kept clean and beaches raked. Trash was picked up and disposed of in a timely manner. Try and get a room to the right of elevators. Its much quieter. People party loud and late on other side. Pools are clean and one is warmed. The only complaint i had, was the hot tub was not hot the whole week. 12-9 - 12-13. My son reported that it was hot this morning when we left. Specialty restaurants are great. Buffet is good and plentiful, but go early for freshness. Bartenders are great. All staff is friendly, attentive and helpful.

Nice property, could definitely use some updating. Beach is very very small, and the pools are shaded by the building. Food options are what you would expect, but the staff is amazing and the place is really well kept. Great alternative if the Riu Caribe is booked up, they offer a shuttle on Riu Party days.
