Riu Caribe was a great hotel, the staff was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Our first room (which was on the 3rd floor) did not have a good view, so we requested a room change, and got one at the 8th floor for free. The staff also helped me plan a surprise bouquet for an occasion during our stay. There is no coffee shop at the hotel, but you can get coffee from the Sports Bar on the mail floor which is 24 hours.

Everyone was so friendly and nice. There was never a moment that you saw a staff member bothered or unhappy. Great customer service in every department, check in , bartender, restaurant staff housekeeping ALL REALLY GREAT. Only thing I would have enjoyed better would be having g the pools open until later.

The beach was covered with palm trees which provided ample shade. Seaweed was cleaned up daily and was very tolerable. At all the pools, guests could choose areas of sun or shade amongst rows of lounge chairs. All my interactions with staff were wonderful. They were warm, friendly, helpful and made me feel welcomed. Tony, who led the fitness classes, was entertaining and a lot of fun. I enjoyed the variety of food choices at the large buffet. Service there and at the restaurants was excellent. I would choose Riu again.

Beautiful beach and water. Friendly staff. Very clean. Daily housekeeping and reception very prompt with requests. Great food selection and the restaurants were very good. The steak house was our favourite. Overall 10/10 would definitely stay at Riu Caribe again.

the property was nice, everything was good, however the amenities, seem to lak.. wifi went down and which the phone went down as well. unsure as to what happened. I was billed for roaming charges. Food, was mediocre, but i cant expect too much considering this resort seems to be more of a party resort

Likes: Resort - someone was ALWAYS cleaning. The resort is very clean even with all the parties. Someone is always there to pick up after you! Did not feel dirty at all. Staff - the staff are attentive, friendly, smiley, and helpful! The entertainment team is good at their job, bartenders work hard to serve everybody, from the beach staff working to keep it clean despite weather elements. Cons: Food - i get it's hard to have spectacular food at a resort when serving so many ppl. I have had better food at other resorts. The food wasnt horrible but there wasnt alot of variety at the buffet. Rooms - bed was not comfortable. At all. Lumpy and soft. Felt very old. Our AC didnt work on the last night so it was quite muggy. At least it happened on the last night.

Great renovated RIU hotel
A great RIU hotel which was renovated last year! Very nice personnel, friendly good service. Only thing they should improve: bring back the WHITE towels....brown towels...do not feel sanitized at all....white is better...Also watch for the elevators...they do not seem to have sensors...I was hit by the door so hard my cell in my hand fell on the floor! Other than that it fits RIU standards this is note a riu palace but it is very good! We recommend and we'll be back1

Everything was amazing. It was a group of 15 and we didn't have any difficulties with our reservations. The only thing some ran into was the king beds that were requested were not available, due to there only being double beds left in the resort. However the staff helped us with getting rooms that were available the next day with king beds and a better view to the ocean. The food is a little repetitive especially when it comes to the breakfast. However, the food still taste great. The Riu Parties were amazing highly recommend to anyone looking for a great time. We met new people from all over the world. Will definitely stay at this resort again. Thank you Riu staff!

We absolutely loved RIU Caribe. The beach is maintained in pristine condition, filled with white powdery sand, palm trees and lounge chairs. The pools are all beautiful. The staff is amazing, fun and enthusiastic. All the food is hot plentiful and well prepared. The RIU parties are great. The entire area is wonderful.
