The room was beautifully decorated and our housekeeper did a great job keeping up with us. Front desk staff were amazing. We enjoyed the gorgeous beach and well kept pools. The wait staff made sure we had all that we needed. The restaurants were good although the food was a bit bland and very few chicken options. Definitely will return to the RIU.

This was our second stay at the RIU, we were so impressed that we returned. However, the resort was lacking that specialness. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The sheets were as rough as sand paper. The pillows were flat and small. The buffet was terrible, the food barely warm and not much selection. My husband and a few other guests got sick. My husband was down for 3 days of the 7 we were there. The restaurant food was bland, even the steakhouse wasn't as good. However, the staff were wonderful and attentive., the property is lookiing dated and getting run down, it is very clean. The grounds and beach are well kept. Sadly, I don't think we will return for a third visit.

The hotel overall was one of the very best I have stayed at. I would like to shine the spotlight on the staff. From Pablo at the front desk, the baggage handlers, especially Grizelda who cleaned our room, to the guys raking the beach in the morning, all the restaurant staff that made dining a pleaure..The staff were stars and helped make our 6 days staying at the Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas an overall fantastic experience.

It was a mostly positive experience, but i did contact the property months in advance to have something special done for my honeymoon but there was nothing done I had to remind them at the front desk and even then it was nothing fancy so i wish they would have done more

8 day stay was AMAZING from beginning to end! Miguel greets you at the door and caters to all your needs, requests and questions! Thank you Miquel for making our stay memorable! Front desk staff friendly, professional, helpful, always available! Property is beautiful and well taken care off. We paid little extra for Romantic dinner - waiter from Steakhouse catered to us and was OUTSTANDING!! We will do this every time we stay, well worth it! We will be back soon!!!

The buildings and rooms are all beautiful and very clean. The beach is beautiful and very swimable with very few rocks if any. The service was excellent and very friendly. I did experience food poisoning which was the only negative part of our stay. The food was good, my husband enjoyed the seafood choices.
