SLS Cancun is located in the gated area Port of Cancun. There is a lot of construction still going on in the area, but not in the amount that would affect the stay. The hotel is really beautiful and the rooms were nice. We loved the beach and the beach restaurant. They make the best cocktails! The only downside of our stay was that we booked the deluxe suite with one bedroom, but instead got the room that did not have a separate living and sleeping area. The front desk stuff tried to convince us that the room we got was a one bedroom suite with the amenities we booked, even so it was just one big room with no walls in between. It also did not have 2 TV-s, or a tub as per deluxe one bedroom description. For me, it seemed we were given a deluxe room instead of deluxe one bedroom suite. They compensated us with the food credit for the inconvenience since there were no available rooms that would have matched the description what we booked. If it is really like they say that our room (408) was under the same category (deluxe one bedroom suite), then someone should really look into this, as it does not match the description on the website.

This SLS property was amazing. It's a boutique hotel so everything wasn't grand like normal resorts. But I felt very safe to be solo traveling. The view from my room was very breath taking, so it was very therapeutic to wake up to a beach front.
