My only complaint involves the JC Steakhouse, in my opinion it was subpar. I expected so much more, the menu was sparse, as far as available sides, asking for a simple salad dressing substitute was frown on, despite arriving early and at first seating we were placed at the very front in a high traffic area, my steak arrived on an enormous plate with a minuscule garlic clove so presentation left a lot to be desired, i give superior points for their decor and ambience but the rest does not live up to the ambience

Tengo 5 años acudiendo a este hotel y la atención que me dieron en esta ocasión fue extraordinaria, me queda claro que utilizar expedía tiene sus recompensas. Cecilia nuestra concierge hizo que nuestra experiencia fuera mejor de lo planeado y Adriana Cadena me ayudó en todo momento con mis hijos, sin duda vuelvo. Compré un certificado para volver que me vendieron ahí y después me arrepentí porque puede ser que no reciba el mismo trato que por expedía, espero que si.

We booked a five-day honeymoon package at the Grand Moon Palace in Cancun, expecting a luxurious and memorable experience, but it turned out to be extremely disappointing. 1. Unpleasant Room and Odor: Our room faced a public restroom, filling it with a constant unpleasant smell. The view was equally bad—an industrial-looking park. 2. Constant Noise: Workers in the park ran compressors and assembled scaffolding all night, making sleep impossible. 3. No Honeymoon Perks: Despite paying significantly more, we received no additional amenities—no champagne or any thoughtful touches. 4. Poor Service: Requests like water took hours, if fulfilled at all. Housekeeping was also unreliable. 5. Walking Long Distances: I had to walk two kilometers to the lobby and back just to get water, with no transportation assistance available. 6. Hygiene Issues: Trash sat in hallways overnight, attracting raccoons and posing safety risks, especially for children. 7. Dirty Dishes: It appeared dishes were not properly cleaned and reused for food service. This trip was supposed to be a romantic and memorable experience, but it turned into a stressful ordeal. The constant noise, poor service, and lack of hygiene standards ruined what should have been a joyful occasion. This hotel does not meet the standards expected for a honeymoon or a five star hotel!

The hotel and service staff were wonderful. However, it was not our best experience. We arrived to a dirty room, like open beer cans in the mini fridge and oil all over the floor. they put us next to a construction site. We had to move rooms. They did not restock our snacks and mini fridge. They were supposed to provide us with Expedia VIP wine and treats and they brought candies wrapped unlike the effort they put in last time. Before we left I called and emailed and I voiced it was my daughter’s birthday and we would like a cake but they said they couldn’t do it 24 hours before. And they wouldn’t accommodate that. Very different from our first time there. They made everything feel so special the first visit and this visit was very mediocre. Also, the water would not get hot so don’t plan on taking a hot bath. Lukewarm at best.

We are just back from an awesome 5N/6D trip to the Moon Palace The Grand. It’s a great place for families with kids. Our 12y old boy enjoyed the water park and our 4y old girl enjoyed the playroom. The dining options were great. The transportation within the resort is an added benefit. The entire property is a world within itself.

I recently stayed at The Grand Palace Cancun, and while the property itself was beautiful, the experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were offered hotel credit if we attended a sales presentation, which was described as a 90-minute meeting. Instead, it lasted over 5 hours. During this time, we weren’t allowed restroom breaks despite multiple requests. At the end, we were pressured to sign up for a $90,000 VIP membership, and after declining, the staff’s attitude completely changed. They became rude and dismissive, and when we asked for transportation back to our room, we were ignored and left to find our own way. The problems didn’t end there. On rainy evenings, my 7-year-old child and I waited nearly 50 minutes at the beach for a hotel vehicle, only to be told they were reserved for VIP members. We had no choice but to walk 30 minutes in the rain back to our room. To make matters worse, we found a cockroach in our room that terrified my children. When I called the concierge for help, I was told it wasn’t their responsibility, and no one came to assist us. The hotel’s policy of leaving used dishes outside rooms overnight attracted wildlife like coyotes and raccoons!! The hallways were unsafe at night, with large animals roaming freely. They were big enough to harm my child, and despite several complaints, the staff did nothing to address the issue. Overall, I felt unsafe, stressed, and ignored throughout my stay. I would not recommend this to anyone!!!

Booking through Expedia gave us access to our own concierge who was able to book all of our dinner reservations at our request (with 3 days booked even before we arrived). We also got a late checkout and resort credits. Was an amazing experience and will definitely be booking this way again!

Amazing service throughout the entire week's stay, memorable personnel were Cecilia and Monserrat at check in and all the service staff in all of the restaurants. Lots of dining options, standouts are the steak house and Habibi, the mediterranean restaurant. Plenty of coffee, dessert stands, bars, and entertainment. Rhe value here is extraordinary. The resort is very, very large. No real ocean view, as the property is bordered by foliage. The Moon Palace Grand clearly cares about making guests happy and it shows. Definitely worth checking out!
