Great stay! Kids (3) ages 4- 9, and us parents loved it!. We have been to many all inclusives over the past 10 years tailored towards kids and this is a top one if not the favorite. The resort is huge and has many things to offer, be it indoors or outside. Nightime Entertainment shows are best I've ever experienced at any all inclusive. Many high quality dining options. Only set back is that with it being so big you need some time to figure out the numerous dining,pool and entertainment options. Take some time to map things out otherwise you may miss out on some great experiences. Themed restaurants, for example is amazing but not really mentioned upon arrival. Definitely going back!

Everyone was so nice and we enjoyed being able to enjoy all the amenities. The beach was beautiful and the heated pool in January was great.

The Grand is very luxurious and beautiful with plentiful dining options. Staff was unfriendly and a little rude throughout the resort, we went to there sister resort at Sunrise and Nizuc and what a big difference every one was nice and friendly. If I was to return to Moon Palace it would not be to the Grand. So if you’re looking for a nice place to stay choose one of there sister resorts it’s just as beautiful without the unfriendly staff.

I would have given five stars instead of four if it wasn’t for the checkout process. if you’re looking for a great place to stay in Cancun, this is it. The rooms are absolutely huge. The entire facility is very high-end tons of food options all which are very good and they’re are staff everywhere willing to help however, as your trip is wrapping up and you feel great about the vacation you have to walk all the way to the corner of the hotel to check out and then walk back to the lobby to wait for your taxi also as soon as you walk away from the checkout counter and you have all your suitcases and luggage with you to get your ride to the airport, you are then approached by a sales person trying to sell you future vacations. I had to tell him five times that I didn’t want to sign up for anything. It left a very bad taste in my mouth

Spectacular resort to enjoy vacation, everything was amazing from the greetings to customer service, so many shows and activities to do with kids from playroom where they can watch your child and you can go enjoy a massage to bumper cars , arcades, obstacle course , gaming lounge , water park and so much more ,we stayed 5 nights and every day we did something different. You can enjoy all 3 resorts connected with moon palace , restaurants are amazing the circus restaurant is 1 you definitely don't want to miss with your kids. Theater has a different show every day and keep an eye out for the outdoor shows because they had a wrestling show with buffet and a fire show located at the starlight. I would definitely recommend this to any family , kids or no kids it has so much to offer . The amenities I had with Expedia were beyond wonderful, had a free room upgrade from a regular room to a governor suite which was double in size and almost double the price , I am beyond thankful for everything I was offered and fyi I stayed at noon palace the grand.

I love the resort, have been a few times now. Food is generally pretty amazing, this last time I’d say the food was a little less than impressive. Tavola, all our noodles were underdone. At most of the restaurants they stopped coming to the table after our entree were served so we were never able to order dessert. I think the thing I liked the least was at one event my husband tipped the waiter and he denied his tip say “it was nothing” (as in not enough). I was pretty put off by that. Otherwise we loved the pools and over all the trip was decent. We will keep looking for a resort that’s beats the grand but I’m sure we won’t find it.

Fun at Moon Palace the Grand
We spent 5 nights here over New Years. I really searched for a place with a water park for our younger teen boys and other activities to keep them busy. We had a good time and it was a really nice property. Food was really good, especially for an A-I. Lots of different types of restaurants to choose from. Restaurant stand-outs were Los Tacos, Habibi and la Cantina. The Grand Buffet for breakfast was really nice with tons of options, including a lot of Mexican, which was yummy. The drinks in general were really good--name-brand liquors. The app they have was easy to use and order room service or request things from housekeeping and make dinner reservations. There were a lot of fun resort activities. Water aerobics every day at 12 was super fun and they had volleyball, water polo, aqua spinning, paddle board strength training and other workout classes in the gym. The shows were pretty good. The shows were were all entertaining. The water park was good, not great. There were two tall slides and one set of a little shorter ones you do on mats. Also a lazy river and a surf rider. Not sure if the Grand was worth the huge bump in price from the other side of the resort, but we really enjoyed it (would like to compare). Negatives were the really small "double" beds in the rooms (seemed even smaller) and the hard press they did for the timeshare sales. I hate that. Woke us up two AMs to try and get us to go to the meeting which we had already declined. Overall a fun time.

We paid 12K USD for a 10-day Christmas break but did not receive the value we expected. Booking restaurants was very difficult, and the wait times for no-reservation meals (breakfast, lunch, coffee) and even lobby checkout were consistently long - sometimes between 20 and 60 minutes. It makes no sense for the whole family to spend 30 minutes just to check out. The on-site medical center appeared closed and when we needed a doctor, we had to book an appointment at a public relations office and wait over four hours. Additionally, the membership sales staff were pushy and called our room early in the morning, disrupting our family’s sleep. Finally, the hotel silently charged our room a “donation.” During checkout, they presented the entire room bill without informing us of any extra charges. When I asked why I was charged a “donation,” I was told it was voluntary and that I was not obligated to pay. But charging without prior notice is not a voluntary donation—it’s a scam. Many visitors may not inspect each transaction closely and could end up paying for this hidden charge, so the hotel continues to take advantage. Despite the premium pricing, we felt the resort lacked sufficient staffing or systems to deliver a comfortable, hassle-free experience. In the reviews here I see many promises to improve, but no one actually cares. Don’t expect a better experience here just because you’re paying more than in another hotel.
