Room was not ready on time. Someone was trying to upsell from the first moment. The property is dirty. The food is the same at all of the restaurants. Not enough lounge chairs. Line ups for everything. Extra charges for things.

Being a part of the Pyramid Exclusive made this trip good. With this access, we were able to get into high end bars & restaurants on the property. The food in these restaurants was excellent! The food in the regular restaurants was average. Overall, the property was okay. The resort was very large and there was a lot of activities, but the facilities need some renovations. The service in the restaurants was very slow, even when it was not busy. We enjoyed our experience, but would seek other resorts for our next trip.

Our room had a couple of cosmetic items that needed fixing but otherwise it was great. We were upgraded to an ocean view. Unfortunately, that meant watching the beach errode right from our room. At no fault to the resort, we lost 4-5 feet of beach while we were there and there was no swimming in the water. The staff were all very friendly. And the amenities with the Pyramid were great as well. However it rained almost every day of our stay so we never got to utilize any of the beach clubs. The rain also cancelled some of the nightly entertainment. But over all a great experience and I would gladly stay again. One thing that I did not like. We arrived in the evening on our first night and decided to take a walk down the beach. Not realizing that they close the gates at one end so after walking the lenght of the property towards our room, we had to walk all the way back to where we entered in order to get back up.

For starters, my flight was delayed and I got to the hotel 5 hours after my regular arrival time. There was no food places open to eat - we were instructed to go to “La Cantina” where the food was trash. There wasn’t any authentic Mexican food and it was cold. We then found the marketplace where the food was semi ok and were able to munch on something. There weren’t any bars open to get liquor from. The next morning we woke up, the shower head fell on my head. The bars didn’t open until 11am to noon and most would then close by 6pm. Leaving us with limited places to get liquor from until 10pm when they closed again. We reserved at the pyramid because we were told that was the luxury resort and we would have all the best amenities. We were offered the cheapest liquor and when asking for something better like “don Julio” or “Patron” we were told there was an up charge. Room service was NOT included in the “ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT”. I was told if I wanted to order room service then I would have to pay $300 mxn pesos. The employees at the resort were all very rude and offered little to no help. When asking them for things we were ignored. We weren’t able to make any reservations because by the time we got there they were all booked up until the day we were leaving to go back home. There were 3 employees that stood out to my family and really helped make a difference during this terrible trip, Juan from Marketplace, Jose from Miramar and Rolando from Sarape.

Expedia and hotel both charged me for the first night - double charge. Young man at reception said there were no rooms like I booked (it is important for us to have two separate beds and they gave us king size plus extra bed that took up all space in a small room that smelled of fresh paint. Consierge at our building was most helpful and moved us into a room with two beds but no ocean view. I was not not reimbursed the difference in rate. The smell of paint is everywhere - they are painting as you try to enjoy your vacation. Very few beds on the beach. You have to pay to get a bed! Food was great and service at Dos Lunas restaurant was outstanding. Consierge Pedro went out of his way to compensate for the rudeness and unhelpfulness of the front desk. Will not come back.

We purchased the top tier all-inclusive, but this did not give us access to any of the beach clubs. Beach clubs were pay to play, I recommend downgrading your all-inclusive level and use the difference to pay for beach club access.

Everything was great about the property. My family and I enjoyed the pool, activities, and dining options. Only issue was that the bath towels and pillows had a stinky smell. They need to do better with that.

Great stay

Great value - great access to the beach, all-inclusive to many restaurants (just need reservation ahead, but it was easy thru the app) and bars. It is a tad on the old side, but generally well kept. The only complaint would be not enough lounge chair by the pool and by the beach, but we generally were able to find space to enjoy ourselves.

Enjoyed our stay in this resort. There are plenty of dining options, and activities. We especially enjoyed the sandy beach right behind of our hotel room as well as the beautiful resort design.
