We enjoyed our stay and having access to the other properties. It would be nice to have more food options at the royal cancun but we enjoyed the peacefulness of the resort. Needing the key for all food and drink service was a bit of an inconvenience at times especially when the service was slower. Overall we did enjoy our stay and had a nice time. Good resort for families.

Overall we enjoyed this resort. We were looking for a laid back vacation that was family friendly for our 3 young kids first trip to Mexico. This resort had a good kids pool area and the beach wasn’t unsafe and the water was extremely all in this area. There are very limited dining options and they did not run the buffet for super a few nights we were there, I think due to it not being super busy. It was easy to get chairs at the pool or beach, it’s not a party vibe but they do their best to have a few activities going on. The rooms are spacious villas, easy for the 5 of us to be in there comfortably and in the evening for me and the wife to hang out. Would be nice if there were more dining options, not only at the hotel but there isn’t much surrounding the hotel food wise. Kids had fun, we relaxed, what more can you ask for.

Staff was super rude!! we took the bus to the Royal Sands which is a sister hotel for free, which in my experience the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Royal Cancun rooms were nice but however the food was limited to two restaurants for the full hotel visitors. If you want to hire a photographer they charge you 140$ which I called in advance and they said it was free/ if you lose your band during swimming or river time you have to pay 150$. I would recommend the Royal sands over this hotel.

Bit dated, but well maintained resort. Clean, with friendly & helpful staff. Beach service is good. Food was unfortunately pretty bland & with just 2 restaurants to chose from it got boring pretty quick though. Themes help a tiny bit, but many menu items come with a surcharge on top of the cost for all inclusive, which is a bummer (and not guaranteed to be any more exciting — tried some steaks which were nothing special, for instance). Beds weren’t super comfy either which

Great stay, but be aware of weekend room policy Overall, our stay at the hotel was really enjoyable. The food was amazing — from the restaurants to the unlimited room service, everything we tried was delicious and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and perfect for a peaceful family getaway. However, one major issue we had was with the hotel’s weekend room policy. If your stay includes a Saturday, they reserve the right to move you to a different room, even if you’ve paid for a specific view. We had paid extra for a beachfront room, but after being moved, the new view was a disappointment. On top of that, there was a security light that shined directly into our window all night, making it hard to sleep. It’s a shame because everything else was great, but that room switch really took away from the experience. Just be aware if you’re staying over the weekend, this could happen. Still, the food and overall vibe of the hotel were excellent
