It has a long and very calm beach. People who want good relaxing accommodation. Food choices are less but supplemented by take aways and you choice to dine at sister resort.

Great place to stay. Our two bedroom unit was awesome. Very spacious, clean, quiet. The services were excellent. Food was awesome. The staff genuinely cared about all guests. You get the aadded benefit of using their sister property - the Royal Sands, which you must visit. Overall, great property.

This is my third time staying at this resort. I usually choose it because the staff is consistently nice and helpful. One shining example is Patricia, a waiter at the pool and beach area, who always goes above and beyond to assist me. However, during my last visit, I had a disappointing experience that left me heartbroken. I traveled with my 16-year-old son, who has special needs. On November 7th, we took the afternoon shuttle to The Royal Sands. When we boarded, I greeted the driver with a smile, but he didn’t respond. I brushed it off, thinking maybe he didn’t notice me. As we entered the bus, the driver started driving before my son could even sit down. My son’s disability is quite apparent—he needs extra time and struggles to maintain balance when the vehicle is moving. Despite this, the driver didn’t wait, which felt inconsiderate. When we arrived at our destination, I said goodbye to the driver. This time, he looked me directly in the eyes, and not only did he fail to respond, but he also gave me a cold, unfriendly look. It was deeply hurtful, especially since he greeted other passengers with a smile. It was my son’s birthday that day, which made the experience even more upsetting. It truly affected our special day. I believe the driver’s name was Rodolfo, but I’m not entirely certain. While I’ve had wonderful experiences at this resort in the past, this encounter was disheartening and left a lasting negative impression.

This is such a nice, clean, quiet resort to stay at with kids and family. Loved the villa size with two rooms (w stairs master room). The ocean is calm and shallow. The pools are great. The a/c units work well but are very loud! We just turned ours off at night. If you need it cool at night take earplugs. Also the upstairs of 4th floor (master bedroom) the wind howled by the sliding door and we even jammed papers into the frame so it wouldn’t rattle. This was only a problem in the upstairs room. Not much snack options for young kids unless you want to order a meal… so we ended up buying easy snacks at Walmart. We did all inclusive but there is options to just pay as you go. (Burgers and fries is about $6.00) they always ask for room number even with all inclusive when you order anything. We went to royal sands one day. The ocean is beautiful and waves were powerful but resort is bigger and not as quaint/calm. Kids club at royal cancun for age 4-12 was great for our kids! The staff was very friendly there

We had a great vacation at Royal cancun. A lot more quiet than other big resorts in the hotel zone. More family oriented, no partys. But also no evening shows so if more entertainment is needed you‘d have to take the free shuttle to the Partner resort royal sands (still all included ) For our family of 4 with two small kids it was perfect ! Room and facilities were super clean. Staff was friendly. I loved having a two bedroom suite compared to many other resorts that have queen bed rooms as standard. Also the ocean was perfect for kids on this side of the hotel zone. No big waves, very calm and easy to play

Great food and service, the property was very well maintained and the pools were nice and clean. The beach was alright but the water was kind of murky, not what you’d expect for Cancun. My only complaint would be that the A/C unit was a little loud and kept me and my son awake most of the nights.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful small resort with great food, great beach, and service. Carlos , our concierge, was fantastic. He checked in on us daily and made sure we had the reservations we wanted for all restaurants. The resort was flawlessly maintained, the view from the rooms was amazing, with nightly fire works shows provided by the pirate ship dinner theater located nearby. The beach was beautiful and perfect for younger kids. We also had access to royal sands and their new waterpark which was a highlight of the vacation for our kids. The location was also only a 10 min walk to the isla mujeres ferry, which was a great DIY day Trip for my family. I could not recommend this resort enough. The two times we used room service, our meal was delivered with 20 minutes.
