this property is top notch. You are welcomed with a cold towel and given every courtesy when you arrive. The staff is amazing, friendly and they remember you and you are greeted by name as you visit the different areas of the hotel. The view from the room while either lounging in the hammock or relaxing in the spa on our balcony is breath-taking. There are little touches thought the hotel and your room that make the stay an experience to relive over and over. Def coming back.

The staff was amazing! The pool activities and staff getting people involved was really fun! After checking in they are a bit pushy with time share like opportunities to take advantage of and receive discounts on tours. We were not looking to do that but if you are it’s there for the taking. The food at the Mexican restaurant Zama was not good and for the most part that was the the only available restaurant to eat for lunch time everyday other than room service or the food offered at the pool which got old after a few days. The buffet dinner was supposed to be served everyday as advertised on the website and also on the elevators but was only available one day per week. However, the breakfast buffet was served daily and that was the best most authentic Mexican food of the trip! Overall, great service from the staff at the pool and in the restaurants, food wasn’t great as a whole due to limited options and the pool was amazing. The pool was the best part of the trip hands down

We had the BEST time at Villa Del Palmar and definitely plan on going back. The food was phenomenal, service was amazing and the grounds are stunning. I can't say enough wonderful things. Everyone affiliated with the resort was courteous, caring and went above and beyond from the reception area to the servers and housekeeping!

The rooms are big and beautiful with massive balconies with hammocks. The beach is good with more than adequate lounging options. We did the all inclusive which is the way to go. Food and service are fantastic. The place is well maintained and spotless! Staff is ultra friendly and prompt. Only drawback is signing for everything but it really wasn’t a bother.

I researched quite a few hotels before settling on this one. As many as you I read the reviews…this place exceeded my expectations. First off the food was absolutely incredible, each dish felt like it was made specifically for you with high quality options. The staff was amazing, attentive and cheerful adding to the overall experience. Room was clean, updated and nice. We loved it and will be returning. I’d definitely say this is family friendly and more focused on those wanting to relax over a party atmosphere.

The resort is clean, with excellent facilities and convenient rooms. However, the biggest challenge is getting to the resort as they do not provide shuttle service for guests, which I wish they would consider adding. The food is fantastic, with a variety of options to choose from, but booking restaurants can be a challenge. For example, I tried to book the Italian restaurant a day in advance, but it was already full. Make sure to plan well in advance if you want to secure a spot at your preferred dining venue. The rooms are clean, and the service is excellent, but the TV facilities are disappointing. If you have kids or plan to use the TV, note that it’s not a smart TV, and you can’t connect your devices to it. Overall, we had a great stay, and I truly appreciate the service and amenities provided. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the resort offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, if you plan to visit downtown or leave the resort frequently, you might want to consider alternative options.

The hotel’s installations were excellent, and the restaurants offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. Firstly, our room wasn’t ready until almost 5 pm despite the check-in time being at 4 pm. Secondly, they intended to charge an additional 900 dollars on top of our bill. We had to go through three separate checks to ensure the accuracy of the bill, which made me feel as though they were trying to take advantage of us.

Our 5-night stay at Villa del Palmar Cancun was a major disappointment, especially for a family paying for a premier ocean-view room. Here’s why: 1. Dining Issues: Despite claims of award-winning restaurants, we couldn’t get a reservation at any during our stay. We were left with mediocre buffets or slow room service. 2. Pool Towel Shortages: By 6:45 PM, all pool towels were gone, with staff blaming the full hotel. Pools stay open until 9 PM, but no towels meant no evening swims. 3. Pushy Timeshare Sales: From check-in, we were harassed with timeshare pitches. A “free breakfast” was a sales trap, and they even woke us up at 7 AM to push it again. Every trip to the lobby was another encounter. 4. Poor Room Service and Cleanliness: Room service was slow, often forgetting basics like water and towels. The room had stains on the floor, hair in the shower, and dirty mirrors. 5. Terrible Internet and Entertainment: The Wi-Fi was unusably slow, and the TVs couldn’t cast from our devices, leaving us stuck with their limited programming—frustrating for a family with kids. 6. Building Disrepair: Constant humming from a utility building ruined the ocean-view room. Elevators were faulty, and the property showed clear signs of neglect. Bottom Line: Between pushy sales tactics, poor service, slow internet, and mediocre food, this resort is far from luxurious. Definitely not coming back.
