Staff were nice & hotel is easy to access from the highway and has good outdoor parking. It’s not that close to “downtown” but Canmore is small so no big deal. Inside, however the hotel is showing its age. Everything felt a bit worn out. The heater in our room was especially in need of an upgrade. It was so loud - it turned on and off all night long to maintain the heat and it sounded like an open car window on the highway whenever it was on. The fireplace didn’t work. The room was not very soundproof. You can hear everything going on outside the door & people walking above. You can even hear kids playing in the pool which was something as we were on the 3rd floor and the noise travels through the window from the pool portion of the building, which is set apart from the main building. We arrived about 30 min before check-in and our room was not ready. I think they were rushing a bit to get it clean as it was quite dusty when we arrived, a light was burnt out and there was a hair in the tub. We called about the light & they replaced it right away. When we mentioned the cleaning the next day, they were ready to have someone clean it 1st thing, but we opted to live with it as they don’t have room safes. The staff kindly noted they have a safe in the front office but we thought it would be too much of a hassle as we were already headed out. They have a continental breakfast with lots of decent options, which is nice for families. All in, it’s an average hotel due for a refresh.

Stayed in the basement rooms which were outdated and hairs all over the pillows. They asked if we wanted to stay on the main floor for $20 but said the only difference was the stairs. We saw later from outside the rooms looked much nicer wish we would’ve known that. The pool wanted burned your eyes as well. Overall not terrible but for $300 not the greatest and wouldn’t stay again.

Excellent hotel for families! It’s a well-loved hotel but the cleanliness was top notch. Breakfast is straight forward (eggs/meat/breads/fruit) and constantly stocked. Our only complaint is the sauna was not in order, but we half expected that as all of the reviews indicated it’s been closed. We would stay here again

We spent 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bathroom very spacious. The Waterslide is very fast but we enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. There’s some life jackets and such available at the front desk which we felt was very convenient.

No soap or body wash in the room, called to have it brought up and never came. Pool was very cold. Could hear every toilet flush and use of running water all night and zero sound proofing. The breakfast was undercooked with no one cleaning tables. The room was $467 on Boxing Day (premium?). Easily the worst sleep and stay my family ever had.

Excellent spot in Canmore. We had a mind blowing view from our 4th floor balcony. Anna (I believe, front desk supervisor) checked us in and she was extremely helpful and lovely. We loved the room and our overall stay. We would stay again.
