Had several incidents with teenagers yelling, banging on doors and growing food as well as smearing sauce on people’s doors. First went to hotel staff, and nothing was done at all. Finally went to parents, twice that were in the conference room. They finally sent their unsupervised kids to their rooms. I get the teens being teens. But the staff did absolutely nothing. I do not recommend this hotel.

The good: beds were comfy, is dog friendly, kids enjoyed the waterslide. The bad: hot tub was closed by Alberta Health Services for our first day, so obviously it wasnt properly cleaned. The pool area while fun, was a bit dirty. The breakfast is not included (which is my fault for not noticing), but the $80 for our family, for what I would say is worse quality than a Denny's, is too steep. The rooms are very dark and dated. Peeling wallpaper, chips out of the tub, peeling leather on the chairs, etc. The lobby of the hotel is the same story. The noise from the trains is true, although it didn't wake me up at night, if your a light sleeper, it likely will wake you. I believe it could be a good hotel, if it had a facelift. All in all, I would suggest trying elsewhere.

In all fairness it was a hockey tournament weekend but our door was crooked with a gap at the top so we could hear every single thing happening in the hallways very late into the night for all 3 nights. Overall it’s a decent middle ground hotel with friendly staff in a beautiful community. If you stay railroad side you’ll definitely hear the trains but the views of the mountains are great!
