The room could certainly have been cleaner, we were woken up early by surrounding hotel guests, most of the staff however was quite accommodating and friendly until our checkout on Tuesday, October 28th at approx. 11:30am - not sure the name of the woman that helped us but she was incredibly dismissive, ignorant and didn’t seem to want to hear me out for my comments on our stay. We like coming to this hotel and have many times but this poor attitude and behaviour coupled with the noise, lack of cleanliness and the fact that the pool and slide are also in need of maintenance (which, was noted by the hotel) turned us off from wanting to come back any time soon. I would like to give a shoutout to the maintenance man who came to fix our window however on Monday night, he was quite friendly and did the job efficiently.

Our room had no table nor chairs. We requested them. We were told that the room didn’t have any. After we insisted, the lady at the front desk found a table and 2 very uncomfortable chairs. Later we couldn’t open the safe. We had to wait for maintenance for about an hour. We had been coming to this hotel for many years and we had had great service for the most part. The hotel has been renovated but their front desk staff need to renovate their approach to their customers. We will look at alternatives for our next trip into Canmore.

Overall rooms were not bad, nice ideal place for a quick stop. However, the toilet in our room was not intact to the ground, so everytime you sat down it moved. If you took a shower the water wouldnt drain (it would take approx. 20 minutes) so that was absolutely disgusting.

A great value! Appreciated having a room on opposite side of train tracks. Loved the pool & hot tub. A great option and cost for on-site breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!

We were lucky to get a grey door room, meaning the interior was newly updated in comparison to a bunch of the other rooms that were still OG finishing. The original finished rooms are still solid but the updated rooms are a treat. Be sure to pay the extra to stay on the mountain side vs the train side of the hotel.

The hotel’s location is good as well as the breakfast. The room is clean on some ways, but disappointed with the dusty drapes and sleeping was hard due to the noise coming from the trains passing nonstop. Although, the noise was compensated by the beauty of the mountain views. We also experienced a very slow check in as they had issues with their computer.
