I don’t know why we paid that much even at a peak season at this place. We basically paid premium room rates for a 4 or 5 star hotel on a motel type establishment. Place is so dated and ugly interior wise. TV was not even working.

Convenient to Banff
Canmore was a better choice than Banff for our visit to the National Park. Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge was more affordable for us than other places we looked. We didn't need all the frills, just a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay. Road construction and lack of parking in Canmore was a negative as far as getting around town but we still enjoyed our stay.

We were first given room 126. We loved that beautiful room. Then after just a few hours there was some major plumbing problem in a row of rooms (including ours) which required us to be moved to room 103. Room 103 is very old and not so nice. We understand these things happen. But we were disappointed our 3 night stay was in room 103. But otherwise we love your friendly, great staff and the location.

The room was nice, with a kitchen area, different appliances and utensils, which I liked as I was travelling with kids. Also there is a playground, a hot tub. The staff are friendly. The lodge has easy access. Overall, I liked it.

I’m pretty sure there’s just paper walls dividing rooms. The place is in disrepair- The shower needs retiling or at least new caulking, The lights were burnt out. The hairdryer came out of the wall, and it smelled like the sewer head backed up. And while I appreciate there is a playground for children- also in disrepair - It is quite inconvenient that if you happen to be up late for your job, screaming kids right outside of your room is less than awesome.

Great staff, dated rooms.
The staff are a credit to this establishment and were very friendly and helpful especially when we needed to change rooms. The spa and sauna were grubby- felt a bit icky tbh. Needs a good scrub with bleach. Rooms were clean but for us from the UK like going back to the 1970s. Very expensive for a tired room but its standard for that area

Didn't realize that this property was very dated / aged for the price we paid. I would look at the surrounding hotels such as Canmore inn or North winch who provide better facility for the same price.
