Enjoyed the inn itself as well as the pub environment and food. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. I really enjoyable experience all around.
Hotel and restaurant were great. Seemingly around once an hour there was a loud knocking. Assuming it was coming from the hvac system. Everything else about the stay was fantastic.
The staff are very friendly. The pup food is excellent. Our room for three people, one with a walker, was ideal. There is a large selection of tea and home made cookies in the room.
Very welcoming staff. Lovely vibe and the pub is great, especially with the wood fireplace. Lots of character at this property which felt cozy and sweet. Comfy beds, nice linens. And free bear spray for hikers!!
The inn is quiet and charming, but for $480 a night, it felt overpriced for what you get. The room and bathroom need updates, and the overall space felt dated. The restaurant was cozy but the food was just okay. It’s a nice area, but I’d expect a more modern room or a much lower rate — around $180 would feel fair.
A great little inn for a few nights. The rooms have a lot of character but are still very clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant/pub is delicious. Lots of parking!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything we needed was there and our European friends were very impressed. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the pub and one of the best breakfasts during our two-week trip to the Rockies. We were also able to walk to downtown Canmore no problem. Would definitely recommend. Top notch!
Well, this place is quaint, but the $840 price tag for two nights is a bit steep. There was a full on stain on the rug in the middle of our room. A fire hazard right outside our suite door … A long ladder was propped up against the narrow corridor wall. The odours from the pub downstairs permeated the entire hotel. The front desk person, when we were checking in approached us saying “I haven’t started my shift yet, but I guess I’ll help you“. Then after we were checked in, they got in an argument with another colleague right in front of us. The king mattress in the ‘deluxe suite“ is a virtual hammock … it needs to be replaced. Staff were friendly and helpful but otherwise I don’t consider this good value. $840 for two nights in Canmore BC should be exceptional. Not mediocre.
Second time staying here and great as always. Only complaint would be the water pressure/temperature was not the best but will still come back next time we’re in town!
Wish I could have stayed longer. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The room was so cozy and quiet. The restaurant was delicious. The staff was kind and accommodating. It’s a short drive to Banff without the high price of staying in Banff.
