Worst.Checkin.Ever. At Checkin, after flying 5 hours and driving 2 more hours from St Lucia airport to this remote resort, the Royalton staff announced they have rooms for us for only 1 night. (We’d booked 2 rooms for 4 nights.) At some point, they said we had to pack up and change to other rooms. Because they over-booked their hotel. On Expedia and months ahead of time, we’d made that booking. No discount or special deal. We paid Full price. If we knew that Expedia / Royalton would force us mid-vacation to pack up and change rooms due to their over-booking, we would’ve chosen another resort. It was only a 5-day vacation. To top it off, after begging manager Barrington not to make us change (he promised to try to keep us in same rooms), and having spent 45 minutes checking in & waiting for Barrington to show up, the keys to the room didn’t work… Like a cruel joke, we had to schlep all the way back to Reception with our bags and wait again to have them correctly program the keys. Worst.Checkin.Ever. It gets better… Night manager Barrington promised he’d try to avoid making us change rooms and that maybe we wouldn’t have to change. Barrington called my room 2x that 1st night to confirm my cell# so that I would be notified directly about any change. The next morning 10:00am, day manager Christian called my kids’ room (not my cell..) and told my kid he had to get out in 2 hours. My kid didn’t know anything about it and was really confused and scared. No one told me anything.

Beautiful grounds and rooms. However the elevators throughout the property never worked properly. Everyday the elevator was out of service, forcing the elderly, disabled, and families with babies (strollers, diaper bags, etc) to go up flights of stairs. Extremely inconvenient for the amount of money paid to stay at the resort. Would have been a lovely experience if the elevators worked and there was more variety of food options available.

Diamond Club was not worth the extra cost in my opinion. Top shelf liquor was different at each bar. The only truely top shelf available was at the Diamond Bar reception area. Bring a personal cup to fill up, this is a must. You only get a complementary bottle with a scheduled 7 day stay. Bring plenty of cash to tip!

This resort has so much potential to be an amazing location, but in all honesty it is managed poorly. There were several instances where bartenders had to walk away from their bar and get drinks from other locations . There were also instances where certain foods on the menu were unavailable which is unheard of for all inclusive resorts . The housekeeping was poorly managed and after several calls, towels still weren’t brought to the room. This had to be the worst resort I’ve experienced in all my travels. Need I say more, please don’t waste your time or money here

Check in went smoothly. Staff refer guests to Royalton app to book the restaurants on site, everything was already booked out for guests arriving mid week & staying less than a week. Niyus the bellman was friendly & offered many suggestions for enjoying our stay in St Lucia. Room was nice but smells Moldy-needs better ventilation system (understandable that the tropical climate and humidity adds to this) Towels in the room also felt damp. Called front desk and they had someone clean the vents but unfortunatly whatever critters was in the vents landed on the bedding. Staff offered to change rooms in AM as it was very late at night. New bedding was requested and was delivered timely. Buffet had a great selection of food to choose from and it was seasoned well enough. Ate meals here mostly as the restaurants at night were already booked. Buffet staff-most were welcoming and friendly. Did get to eat at the the Italian restaurant Gratzie, the food was so so. Property is beautiful,many pools and the music was amazing! The Vibes team kept things lively and fun with many different acitivities. Shout out to Zachary & ladies for engaging the crowd. Foam party so fun! Reggae band was great! Shoutout to Markdaniel at Chillsbar for fresh jelly coconut & tips for must see places in st Lucia, Casey at the Martinimix bar, the piano singer Michael, Keneisha (nexus tours) who booked our catamaran Mudbath excursion! on Beach: Booker, Brad; Friday night street party draws huge crowd and lively!

Overall the experience was good. However in comparison to our previous experiences with Royalton, we felt the staff service mainly at the beach bar, was not the best. Food choices were not great. We were not able to get into any restaurants that required reservations. Property is maintained well however the drive from airport to resort was took close to 2 hours.

Beautiful property! Most of the staff was very slow to respond at the bar, eating breakfast, etc... However, Wendy at the main pool bar was excellent. She outworked everyone else 10 to 1. There was a lot of standing around by many staff members at most of the bars causing very slow service. It seems like there's no one in charge of training. The spa was excellent! My wife and I got a couples massage on two different days and the staff was very professional and kind. We enjoyed our experience overall but I think some of the staff could use much more training.

Property layout is good. Seems like Marriott is trying to cut back on portion size. Ordered chicken parm at the Italian restaurant, I got 2 one inch slices of the chicken? If they are having trouble sourcing ingredients on the island, take it off the menu. Don't serve samples. On day 3 of our vacation all guests were locked out of their rooms. A technician had to individualy unlock each door and when unlocked you couldn't lock it when you left ,leaving all your belongings at risk of theft. This continued on to the next day. This was a complete upper management failure. I did appreciate Expedia upgrading our room when we checked in. The resort seemed run down in some areas and repairs needed to be done. Beautiful island and people, will return but not at Royalton.
