Clean and serene resort with pleasant, helpful staff. Rooms and grounds were clean. Loved the outdoor pool and pool service, accessible beach chairs and umbrellas and wind down music in courtyard in the evening. Would highly recommend and looking forward to booking another weekend!

We stayed in an upgraded room, and it was just as the picture showed so we were very happy. It was neat and comfortable. On the quieter side of town but the drive to the mall was not far and easy to get to. We would definitely stay here again.

We liked the access to the beach. We didn't like the old room for the high price we had to pay. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were no USB outlets in the room to charge your phone. The bathroom was the worst looks like it wasn't updated for many many years and those conditions made us cut our vacation short. Lost a lot of money but couldn't stay another night there.

STUNNING property. They're planning on finishing their upgrades and even with an older wing stay it was a truly beautiful stay. Only con was the wifi was not ideal. It was spotty and sometimes outright not working. Other than that grounds, staff, restaurant were TOP TIER

La Mer is a lovely hotel and its location, directly across from the beach, can't be beat. The employees are very helpful.

Good for families; beach service needs work

Had family members split across the renovated and non-renovated towers, and the newly renovated rooms are definitely top notch. The facility all in all is very nice, and on the quieter north side Cape May, but there are a few service areas that need work. 1. While food and bev service is offered on the beach, only one individual is taking orders AND running food, leading to long times to order and receive your items. There will be four people putting up umbrellas and chairs: midday i would shift two of those folks to be food runners to help expo food and bev service. 2. Despite having a room service and decline room service sign, at 2pm one of the days our room was still not cleaned even though it was across the hall from housekeeping office on our floor.

The blue wing is the area that has not been updated so it is run down. Not worth the cost. Other parts may be better but not clear we were in the older section.
