It was a very roomy room, convenient to everything!Clean, and easy access to the beach! Although theres a restaurant, the food was not good, but just to hang and drink and listen to music wS a plus.

We had the best time at tge Beach Shack. We loved being across the street from the beach and having a pool with ample lounging chairs. It was also so lovely to have the Rusty nail w/ the fire pits and live music. The smell of the wood burning fireplace at the restaurant was also delightful. We already rebooked for next year since we had such a great experience.

The Beach Shack was a great place for my friends and I to stay during our girls weekend. The retro feel of the place was fun, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool and pool bar were great, and having The Rusty Nail right there was awesome too. We enjoyed the sand pit area and the live entertainment. The Beach Shack was also in a walkable distance to all the Cape May activities and the beach lounge chairs/towel service was amazing. Showing up to the beach and having towels and chairs available was just amazing. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Cape May.

I’ve stayed at “fancier” hotels, but the service at this place was unmatched. I stayed with my family of five plus extended family for three nights and we had a great time. Everything was so convenient, clean and there was always someone nearby to help. Proximity to the beach is amazing, plus a r he eat pool with a bar and food right next to it. Plenty of beach towels, free bottled water and our rooms were cleaned every day- that hasn’t happened since before Covid! We will definitely be back!

Many rooms with hard floors

This was a 3 night stay for us. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and sofa bed. When we arrived we were given a lower room in the corner under the steps and next to a loud speaker that plays music starting at 8 am. It was very dark in the room with a gray hard floor and no carpet like in the pictures. We asked to change our room and there was only a smaller room available. We were told they would hold the other room for us that would open up the next day. Yet the staff was unsure we could fit a needed air mattress inside. We stayed packed not knowing our fate. We have a family member with severe OCD and if we couldn’t switch rooms we would need to get him home. The switch was made the next day and staff gave us a beautiful room with carpet that faced the ocean. The staff we encountered did not offer us solutions to our issue. I suggested the solutions. It is clear they were trained to make guests happy such as offering free breakfasts instead of getting a new room and putting in the air mattress to make it work. We will not pick this property again. We prefer congress hall.
