The hotel itself is great but the room service staff was comically bad. Orders would take longer than one hour to arrive, items were ALWAYS missing. One time they called us at 1:30am to confirm our breakfast order (waking us up!) and then still got the order wrong 😂 really odd in a 5 star hotel.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cape Town V & A Waterfront, The One and Only offers breathtaking views of both the majestic Table Mountain and the bustling V&A Waterfront. The hotel's prime location makes it the perfect base for exploring the city's rich cultural heritage, pristine beaches, and world-renowned vineyards. The room I stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. Spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with every modern amenity one could wish for, it provided a sanctuary of comfort and style. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights, while the private balcony offered stunning views that made every morning a delight. Culinary excellence is a hallmark of The One and Only. The diverse dining options cater to all tastes, from the exquisite Japanese cuisine at Nobu to the contemporary African flavors at Reuben's.
