Excellent service and all the little touches were there. I appreciated the effort to conserve water by simply collecting a bucket of water while showering for use in the beautiful gardens.
Loved staying in this beautiful peaceful house, looked after by friendly, helpful and warm host and staff. It was a lovely haven to come ‘home’ to each day. The breakfasts are delicious, bed comfortable, and the service excellent. It combines the warmth of a home with high quality service (but without the wastefulness or anonymity of a big hotel). Will definitely stay there again someday!
Very lovely and comfortable stay in Cape Town City. Very convenient location. Friendly and welcoming staff- always willing to help. Tasty breakfast every morning which set us up well for the day! Very grateful to Pamela and her wonderful team for helping to make our stay in Cape Town so memorable. We will definitely return here and highly recommend to all!
Fantastic! Pamela,Tomas and staff were fabulous hosts. House beautifully furnished, greatest bed in the world! Breakfasts fabulous. Wished we had more days to chill out at the house. Highly recommend Parker house.
We had never been to Cape Town before so really welcomed the help we had from the staff in planning our few days. The breakfasts were fantastic and they had lots of recommendations for good restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring Cape Town
Beautiful place to stay! I have already recommended it to friends and family visiting South Africa next year. Delicious breakfast, really friendly staff and great location. A oasis in a bustling city!
Boutique hotel in quiet, central locale was a hit!
Parker Cottage is in a peaceful street in the centre of town. There are some lovely older homes in the neighbourhood - of which this is one. After a warm welcome with a drink and informative chat, we were shown to our beautiful room overlooking a koi pond.
The house is furnished in cool greys and antiques, with lots of interesting art, objets and books. The bathrooms are stocked with Rain toiletries, a local brand which is delicious Breakfast is served by on a sun--filled patio, with a choice of cooked or various continental options - all top notch. The team create a happy, peaceful space from which to go out and explore this vibrant city. Can you tell we loved everything about it? We were only there for 3 nights but would definitely return and will be recommending to friends.
What makes Parker Cottage an excellent B&B/Guest house is the staff, they were always very helpful and responded very quickly to our enquires before arrival.
The breakfasts are one of the best I have sampled.
In all this B&B is very good value for you money.
It was amazing! This is the second time I have stayed here and there is no other place I would stay except at Parker Cottage! Pamela and her entire staff were above and beyond! Chris drove us on tours and was very exceptional!
Excellent service all round from the pick up at the airport to checking in and out. Breakfast is amazing with wonderful friendly staff. Will stay again.
The staff at Parker cottage could not be more accommodating. Anything you want to arrange they can do it! They have a pair of drivers, Ron and Chris, who are extremely good tour guides at your disposal. We had some plans cancelled due to the winds and Ron and Chris took us wherever we desired.
Also the food at Parker is very good. Breakfast is home cooking at its finest.
One thing I really like was that they offered all kinds of drinks all day and night. They used the honor system, so if you wanted a glass of wine at 10pm at night all you did was write it down.
Parker Cottage is in a good location within walking distance to many restaurants or take Uber to others.
We really enjoyed this place. It was really close to Kloof steet where there were great retaurants, cafes and shops. The kind of place that gives you a idea of what it would be like to be a local and not just a tourist. Uber was inexpensive and quick and took us to the touristy spots. $2 cdn to table mountain for a 1.5 hour hike and less than $10 to the waterfront and to watch the sunset at camps bay. Coming "home" after our days of exploring was great as we good grab a few drinks from the "honesty" bar in the kitchen and have a sit on the veranda. The beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. However might be a bit hot in summer - no air con in our room. Tip: Must bring slippers as the floors were very slick. Staff is amazing and Thomas and Pamela go out of their way to make you feel welcome and give great touring advice which is great if you have limited time and want to maximize your vacay. Breakfast was also very delish and served outdoors. I usually lean towards hotels when I travel but I REALLY liked this place a lot and now can see why they get such good reviews.
Phil was a terrific host providing information about Cape Town and other local sites. The amenities at Parker Cottage are superb and the breakfast was outstanding!
I don't even like bed and breakfasts, but they lived up to their reviews.
Amazing breakfast.
They go above and beyond with the little things to stand out - learn your names and everything, co-owner personally serves breakfast, wifi very fast, very clean, very friendly. Very personable service. They have earned their number one rating. No cons.
We stayed 4 nights this month and we could not have made a better choice. All the staff were really helpful, and the breakfasts just delicious, served in the attractive garden. Location was good quite near the Mount Nelson Hotel, and a R70 taxi ride from the Waterfront that was a great place to eat - lots of choice.
