Amazing and very helpful staff at concierge and at breakfast. The breakfast buffet was substantial, plus a bonus ordered meal with your included breakfast option. Friendly and safe hotel, with a great bar, pool and gym area as well. Easy to walk to the V&A Waterfront and close to most tourist destinations. Would highly recommend.

Onyx is a fantastic apt hotel. Rooms are huge and very clean. Loved having a kitchen in room. Bed was super comfortable and room was quiet. 2 restaurants had amazing food and front desk staff were very helpful and nice. Pool area was small and water didn’t look that clean. The spa and wet steam are not included. Extra charge for both. Would def recommend and stay here again.

Staff were great! Hotel location was great! There was a mixup on check-in where the Hotel had not been notified that I had upgraded my room after making the initial booking. Mpumbi and Andre worked to resolve it. The 1-bedroom deluxe (with Balcony) was spacious. The included breakfast option was good as well, but the Hotel's best asset is their staff.

Property in convenient location. No VIP access benefits for platinum members, they should be removed as VIP access hotel. Do not offer 2 keys For 2 person room. I was told she would “look into it” when I asked for another key. Sink didn’t drain and was not fixed despite reporting it. When reporting it I was questioned as if I was lying or was unsure how to use a sink. Communication skills of certain members of staff was appalling. It’s a pity. I booked again after this horrific experience because of convenience and availability and the Concierge and Andre provided assistance and ensured everything was working. The second time around I had better experience because of them however the same members of staff from last time were still impolite and still only gave one key for a 2 person room.

Everything of an apartment amenities available. Very clean. Modern design style. Very well located. Quiet and safe. Easy and secure indoor car parking. what an amazing deal the price for this apartment type room was the same for 5 nights as it would be for one of the fancy hotels in town for 2 nights When i arrived they had a complementary bottle of wine The maid did my dishes every day and left me coffee every day Sure not a huge pool or gym as you would find in the big hotels but good enough Food at both restaurants was superb also So convinent right across the street from the convention center and the hop on hop off stop
