All the employees, without exception, were very welcoming, polite, and best of all, good-humored.

Renaissance has normally been our go-to hotel in São Paulo, and in the past we have consistently rated it 5 stars. Unfortunately, this stay missed the mark by far. When we arrived, there was a used towel still hanging in the room, which made us question whether the room had been properly checked before our arrival. The room was also not cleaned during our short two-day stay. We called in the early afternoon to let the hotel know that the room had not been cleaned, but housekeeping was only sent at around 10 p.m., which was obviously too late and we refused the service. In addition, we ordered a dessert for our child and were told it was chocolate, but what arrived was a coffee-flavored dessert. These issues together made the experience feel well below the standard we usually expect from Renaissance. We hope this was an exception, but unfortunately we cannot give the hotel our usual 4.5/5-star review this time.
