Amazing value - the room was extraordinary cheap. Because of that, I can forgive a fair bit such as a blpcked shower and that a lot of the decor was rather tired (although the place was obviously part way through a refurb).
Facilities wise it was basic, but did have everything you really need (desk, tea and coffee facilities) if you don't mind a shared bathroom and no restaurant.

All staff were amazing helpful.very welcomeing pnly downfall being in attic room even tho when booking it was put in note need easy access.not attic room. Room was booked by hotels.com went through expedia and the room they put me down for wasnt same as what i ordered so hotle upfraded my room
Only otger problem was gap in window with extremely bad winds And bed under window wasnt very nice the first 2 nighrs

The room smelt of stale nicotine. The shelf with the kettle on was not fixed and wobbled. Windows were wide open and it was a really cold evening. Thankfully an extra heater was provided.
Clean linen on bed, shower had 4 leaks and grime in corners, carpet hoovered but wearing thin with lots of stains. Very noisy guests, one occassion police came through at 4 am, other night birthday party until 02.30am, wedding party load music until 12pm midnight, one can hear next room tv easily making it difficult for peace and sleep. Price may seem cheaper than competition but only by £10-£20 per night.
After driving all the way from Scotland for over 7hrs, only to be met by a rude receptionist that kept me t the lobby for over 30min with no regards for how tired i was, i decided to find a better hotel. Nd the hotel looks nothing like the images online. It was n absolute disappointment. I didn't even get a refund anyways. Perhaps the worst hotel ever i got on a business trip.
My Property was stolen, on my 1st day; almost certainly by a member of Staff; the Police are involved.
The Hotel appears to be, recently, under new Management and they are taking bookings before basic Fire Safety has been put in place; making things worse by ignoring key Fire Safety Regulations.
The rooms are ok, with a couple of 'quirks'.
All in all I'd give this place a miss.
I have also reported them to the Gwent Fire Safety Authority.
