Lovely stay at iconic hotel
Lovely stay at the iconic hotel. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable clean room. Basic breakfast choices, but good. Dated decor but added to the charm. Bit noisy overnight, but to be expected.

Glory has departed somewhat but still attractive
My stay at the Angel was fine . One or two minuses , poor sound insulation , bath instead of shower , room a bit dated but good bar food and excellent service from the staff in particular Lesley in Reception ! The location of the hotel is good , on one of the main streets of Cardiff , handy for shops , cafes , transport and special events . Would recommend .

We,ve stayed here a number of times.Sadly the fan outside kept us awake sll night left early. Shame because its a lovely hotel sadly there was no car park wogking either.

Enjoyable stay in Cardiff
I enjoyed my stay at the Angel Hotel. I like the "old style" hotels, and I found the first impression that the Angel Hotel leaves is of old charm. I had a single room, but it was not small, as in other hotels, but it had a nice "big" bed and plenty of room, e.g. for the wardrobe, etc. It was very clean, and I felt very comfortable in my bed and in general in my room. I would have liked to stay there for longer ...

Stayed for two nights with my mum. Had requested accessible room as mum is wheelchair bound. Had a lovely big room near to the lifts on the first floor which was great. Lift extremely narrow and small. Struggled to get wheelchair and attendant all in together and other lift out of order. Street access again by lift which was small and a faff with door openings but doable. The room was lovely, comfy beds and plenty of room. The mirror was too high when seated at the dressing table to use for make up etc, curtains extremely difficult to close, bathroom dated and could really do with an update, especially getting rid of shower curtains. Annoying not to have plugs next to beds. Breakfast was well run and delicious. Massive flaw was the parking. I had messaged in earlier in the year when I placed the booking and was told about parking at the rear for £15/night. When we arrived car park was blocked off as unknown to us work was being done. Called from outside and advised to park in stadium parking opposite. Cost us £44 for the two nights. Secure overnight which was reassuring but not what we were anticipating paying. Fab location to walk into centre. Road noise but didn’t bother me and expected it if light sleeper would need ear plugs. Also quite hot in room and not even warm weather, summer booking may be interesting! Overall very happy and suited us well for our trip but not the most accessible and parking a disappointment.

Excellent location
Stayed for 2 nights bed & breakfast. Hotel is ideally located for the city centre. Room was of decent size with a big bathroom. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. Unfortunately the car park was closed for building work, so we parked in the nearby multi storey using the provided promotion code for discounted rates. Would stay again.

A decent hotel, with a classic theme.
Excellent location for the city centre, the room was clean and had all the amenities one can expect from any hotel. Adequate for a weekend break, expect some residual noise, especially from a busy city as Cardiff is. Was a it surprised that, even though the menu advertised 24 hr room service, I was told there would be an hour wait before I could expect the kitchen to take an order. Overall a decent hotel, with a classic theme. Front desk provided good advice and were polite.
