Staff were exceptionally warm and kind, the hotel is brightly lit but in warmer colours than more modern hotels which was easier on my eyes personally. Beautiful hotel directly across from the castle and at the edge of the arcades and shopping area, perfect for tourists

Room ok, but dated. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Grand entrance. So close to Cardiff city centre amenities. They need to be explicit about no parking on site and make discounted alternative arrangements eg Cardiff arms park car park for guests. Arrival was stressful re parking abd unloading .. not even a drop off zone.

Room poor, window woodwork flaking. In need of some filler and paint at the least. Furniture dated and worn. Lift not working. Hotel needs an upgrade. £151:19 for one night. We won’t be back. Best thing about the hotel is the location
