The owner was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superior. Our room was clean and spacious enough. We were disappointed with the parking as that was a major reason for booking here. The parking is a block away and there is no place to unload at the lodge so you have to haul luggage from a block away.

The owner is very nice, made a wonderful English Breakfast for me daily, and greeted me by name with a smile. The room was basic, but clean and safe and in good repair. I would stay at Arkale again if I go back to Carlisle.

Pretty good b&b for the price,breakfast was a bit chaotic,but when everything finally arrived it was pretty good. Parking was an issue.

My stale at the Arkale Lodge was excellent. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Next time I stay at Carlisle I'll be staying at the Arkale lodge!

The owner was extremely attentive, even got some decaf coffee for our room. We were able to book into our room early which was very convenient. The room was very clean and even little touches like cotton buds and cotton wool in the bathroom didn’t go unnoticed. The breakfast, wow, excellent, such a hearty meal, lots to choose from again the owner remembered I drank decaf. Attention to detail was excellent and calling me by my first name made it very welcoming and friendly. I will absolutely visit again. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

Nice clean hotel 10mins from station Ishwar and Sabita were very hospitable and welcoming and rounded off with a nice full English breakfast. I will be back when I’m in the area. Well done

Since the new Asian owner’s took over the accommodation has improved 200% Only downside was being called Jo which I hate as that’s masculine when my first name is Joanne which is female . On the whole the property is non binary and LGBTQI+ friendly and opposite an Asda if you need any snacks

For a fantastic stay in Carlisle, look no further than Arkale Lodge! This charming guest house deserves all 5 stars and more. Here's why: Spotless and Comfy: The rooms at Arkale Lodge were impeccably clean and very comfortable. They had a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring Carlisle. Warm Hospitality: The hosts at Arkale Lodge were some of the friendliest I've encountered. They were welcoming and attentive to our needs, making us feel right at home. Delicious Breakfast: The Full English breakfast was a true highlight. It was hearty, delicious, and perfectly fueled us up for our day of sightseeing. Great Value: Arkale Lodge offered excellent value for money. The comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfast, and friendly service made it a fantastic deal. Convenient Location: The location was excellent. The lodge was close to many pubs with great food options nearby, and within walking distance of Carlisle's attractions. Overall, Arkale Lodge provided a fantastic experience. From the spotless rooms and delicious breakfast to the warm hospitality and convenient location, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Carlisle!
