I asked for a refund the place is so run down and dirty, I didn't even feel safe. The carpet was so gross and the place smells like roach spray and mold.

SO EMBARRASSING!!!

This place LOOKED so nice...The family was so excited to finally take a trip before school starts. Envited friends and booked 2 SUITES suitable for 5 guests EACH only 6 of us came, TOTAL. POOL WAS DOWN WITHOUT NOTICE! The door handle had to be opened by staff for entry.The rooms weren't together, smelled like cat p***. Rusted vents, shower heads and drains. No other rooms available to accommodate our party size? Yet, we couldn't cancel without being charged. NO TOILETRIES! ONLY 2 CUPS and 2 small plates per room... no forks or spoons. No TOWELS or BLANKETS, just sheets. We ended up buying our own supplies. ***We drove too far and knew that the beach experience would be worth it. NICE SIZE ROOMS, JUST CLEAN IT UP! 😉

Checked in late in the evening for.a one night stay. Checked out 30 minutes later and found another hotel nearby, due to a family (?) Of cockroaches in the suite - kids were not having it. Check in desk clerk was helpful but this was not the place for us...

Affordable but not lacking convenience

The rooms are spacious and set up really well. We had a kitchen, full size couch, king size bed and large walk in shower. The location was great and easy to get where you need to go.

If you traveling for work, I will not recommend this place. When I arrive and room was given, the bedsheets were not change, the stove was on which is fire hazard, I asked the front desk guy, he was nice to change me into a different room. Which the room also was missing clean sheets and garbage disposal. Second day of staying I came out of the shower and kill two roaches that were near the bathroom, that drew the line and decided to leave. The move and last minute reservation cost me a lot. Called the customer service did not do anything about it. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE !

The place is dirty smells like urine cat piss dog piss totally disgusting. First room on a five nights stay as I walked in had a pile of puke beside a bed. Move to another room the AC didn't work had to leave the window open and listen to a train all night long. Tried to move us to another room and as I walked in it was filled with cat piss smell. As we moved to another room the bathroom sink drains so slow we would have to use the kitchenette sink. Was presented to the staff and nothing was ever done. I would not ever let anybody stay there if they ever asked me. In the back door to the whole building the lock is drilled out and the door is wide open 24 hours a day. It states there's a pool which has no water in it. It states it has a laundry room and all the machines are out of order. It states it as a workout room and hasn't been in order and all the machines are down for years. It states it as a buffet there is no Buffet there is no food. It's the honest truth and the owner should walk his property and close the doors until he fixes everything.

The staff was very kind and attentive, which I truly appreciate. However, the hotel itself left much to be desired. There was a bad smell, the furniture was old, the carpet was dirty, and I had to call to get the sink fixed because it was clogged. I also saw a cockroach during my stay. Unfortunately, even though the staff was excellent, I wouldn’t return due to the condition of the place.

The primary thing I liked about the property was the location as it was convenient for the reason for my stay. However, during our stay the AC did not work, so we had to have the window open which was a negative since there was the train tracks right behind the hotel and there was construction occurring during our stay. The were stains on the bedroom lamp and wall and the bathroom could have been cleaner. There also seemed to be minimal hot water available, it would be hot in the beginning but quickly change to luke warm after a couple minutes. The front desk staff and cleaning woman were very friendly though.

The room waa fine overall. Not too many major complaints. The sink for the bathroom was a little clogged, the hallway to get to the room had a funky smell the further you walked down. No remote to the TV. Thwre was only 1 coffee and 1 augar in the room. The room was pretty clean and everyrhing worked. It was fine for sleeping and storing our things. Bonus was the full fridge and stove top. The vest part was being so close to the beach and Carlsbad village.
