Overall, was a good stay. Main thing is it's location which is close to the ocean, to a surfing site. Can get gorgeous sunsets. Though does not have access to the beach but it's close enough if looking to get to the water. Rooms are pretty big and renovated, the beds very clean. A super small refrigerator was a bummer. A few other things could improve like they can provide a map to get to the rooms upon arrival. You get towels for the use at the pool at the reception which is also not convenient. The property and the pool could be cleaner.

Property is fine! We have stayed there several times and we always enjoy our stay! My only complaint is with the room rates which are not cheap which I can accept compared to other hotels but I think charging for parking with the abundant amount of space I think it’s a little greedy! Just one man’s opinion

Beautiful property with ocean views. Walkable to the beach and only few minutes away from Carlsbad Village. I believe the pool was heated and my husband and I enjoyed the jacuzzi. We will consider booking this hotel in the future.

Terrible customer service but beautiful location!
The hotel is amazing but the customer service at the front desk horrible! The restaurant was good but the front desk would stare at you till you talked first. The manager and staff never smile and talk crap about guests checking in asking for early accommodations. Luckily the location and hotel is amazing. The food was really good and affordable in the restaurant. I would get rid of all the front desk staff and start over with customer service training.

Andrew at check in was super cool.
Thanks Andrew for being energetic, providing restaurant suggestions and making check in super easy and flawless. The following days of conversation with you and the other employee working with you made the stay and experience fun and a would come back. The restaurant at the location made the mornings or end of the day an easy choice to grab food and a drink and chill by the pool and courtyard.
