I was upset about running out of toilet paper also the shower had a soap container on the wall of the shower and it was empty i had to go and ask them to please refill it i was exited about to enjoy the pool and it was very dirty

Give it a try!

Appeared clean, convenient, renovated, and well maintained. Nothing fancy but best price by 30% or so in the area at peak summer season. We would stay there again, for sure.

If you are looking for a one night stay this is the place. Easy access to the freeway and downtown restaurants. The rooms are a little out dated however my overall experience was good. I would use them again if I’m in the area and need an overnight stay.

This was a very clean property very convenient access where I parked right in front very friendly. Neighbour hood. It was very affordable and close to a park.

We stayed for the weekend. For the money, it was good. Unfortunately, rather it being clean, the sheets were stained. The good thing about it was the convenient parking. You need to drive to get around but all in all, its OK.

I have never left a review before (and have stayed at hundreds of hotels), so hope this helps and I'll try to keep it simple. Check-in was smooth, Sam was very helpful... This is the only positive I can say about our time at Hyland Inn. The room was absolutely disgusting. Countless pieces of long black hair covered all the pillows and the sheets legitimately had brownish red and green stains all over them. I attempted to get a refund as I didn't feel comfortable with my infant son in the room and they denied our requests. Their solution was to simply give us different sheets but I couldn't trust their cleanliness at this point. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, regardless if you're trying to save a buck...not worth it

Great place to stay

This is my third time staying here in the last 3 months. I’ve spent a total of 6 nights here on business and family travel. Super clean, safe surroundings, quiet, no frills place to stay. Would definitely recommend to solo travelers and families. I feel safe and the rooms are comfortable.

Hyland recently renovated on the inside!

Overall, I had a great experience with the Hyland Hotel; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a Summer vacation. Conveniently located near Carlsbad Village, Legoland and restaurants. Not sure if they buy their furniture at a thrift store, but otherwise clean room, with the bare essentials.
