Great stay!

The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Our kids especially enjoyed the pool, which was family-friendly and a great way to relax. The room was comfortable and nicely set up. The only downside for us was that the mattress was a bit too firm for our preference, but aside from that, everything was excellent.

The afternoon receptionist was awesome. Everything was good for the check in. But the morning receptionist was not, it seemed that she did not like her job, she greeted us like if she was making us a favor. She needs to have a better attitude. (It was the girl with the huge ass lashes. )

Solid hotel

- Customer service was solid. They did ask for card info for incidental however. - Hotel condition was good. Some minor wear and tear seen throughout the property. - Room was clean. Checked for bed bugs. Be glad to know they got no bugs. Had a small stain in the bathtub though. - Ice machine works. - Pool was clean and clean. - Hot breakfast is solid. Usually I pass by other Sleep Inn properties and they usually look very questionable, however this property is 👌. Would recommend here if you looking for a place to rest.

Could have helped, but they didn’t.

This place gets a 1 star purely for service, or lack there of. While booking through Hotels.com we accidentally booked two hotels for the same night. We obviously did not realize this and called them the next day (the day we thought we had booked for) and asked if they could help us out. Obviously we were in the wrong and we weren’t asking for a refund, we just hoped if there was still a room available the next night, would they let us push the booking? No. Quite rudely was informed that it’s against their policy. We were a “No show” so we get to pay them for the room but not get to stay there. Cool. I don’t know about your family but $160 isn’t chump change. There was no effort to offer a discount or anything to try and win our business again. We are still going to Carlsbad. We still need a place to stay. This hotel/chain has lost a customer for life and you bet I will be telling everyone this story.
