Friendly but shabby

The welcome was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good, but the property felt run down and shabby. Our windows looked out onto a dirty fire escape and had no way to hold them open, but would not have been secure open anyway so room was hot. Sitting on the high square toilet was like an implement of torture. The mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable and could feel the springs and got bounced around by partner. Paint peeling off the walls. Carpet so thin and with no underlay. Cobwebs around ceiling. Very dated room with little to recommend it. Shower was powerful when the hot water eventually came through.

Overseas trip

We had a great few days at the Dobbins Inn. Breakfast had all the usual options and was perfect. We had dinner 2 of the nights and it was some of the best food we had on our trip. The rooms are dated but it's an old place and expected. The bed was comfortable, and the windows opened enough to control the temperature. Wi-Fi was available throughout the building. The car park is less than a 5-minute walk to the hotel.

Historic and cozy inn. Room was what I expected in a centuries old building adding to the charm of the town. Good Irish breakfast. Would stay there again if in the area.

The staff were wonderful but the property is dated in decor and condition. We had no hot water on the first morning which made showering a challenge. There are limited dining options available in the area and off site parking can be a problem. The complimentary breakfast is lovely.

A superb family run hotel with wonderful and attentive staff, incredible food and very comfortable rooms in a charming old building. Only one small downside was the lack of water pressure in the shower.

The staff were utterly delightful and very helpful. The rooms are tired and lots of things need repairing. If you are there in a Saturday you may be able to attend a wedding from the comfort of your own room. It was like the DJ was in the en en-suite but it was quiet after 2300
