Nice hotel...watch for hidden costs
We booked through Expedia that is connected to a Latin American booking site we had never heard of..something starting with a 'd' When we tried to check in, the desk wanted us to'call' our host, our reservation was supposed to be a done deal through Expedia & our phones DO NOT work in Colombia which we politely tried to explain to the desk & asked them to call for us, which they were very uncooperative about, refusing to call, which made absolutely No sense to us what so ever! After that they told us we would have to pay a tax (20,000COP) & another 60,000 COP(basically $30) for a 'cleaning fee' that was Never mentioned when making our booking through Expedia! So much for Budget accommodation! I have made many bookings using Expedia and have never encountered these additional fees upon arrival..... I am not impressed to say the least.
