The elevator wasn’t operational during my entire stay of 3 days. The staff seemed unconcerned. Power was out approximately 12 hours. I’m a senior with significant mobility issues and had to hobble down 3 flights of stairs. 1 flight of stairs has no railing. As a result, I didn’t leave the hotel much and lost money on tours I had booked and paid for . I reached out to Expedia whom I had booked the hotel through and they reached out to the Mood Matura in Cartagena. They refused any sort of reimbursement. Expedia offered a 50 dollar credit towards my ‘next” booking. Absolutely appalling accountability on both companies.

So, the staff were very nice and offered me a half night refund for the disturbance, but they ran out of water for showers one morning. I understand that is a city wide problem but as a paying guest it must not be my problem. Another morning they ran out of milk for the cappucino machine. This demonstrates that the hotel has logisical supply issues.

This was my first time in Cartagena and I really enjoyed this stay. It was convenient to where we needed to go and we could walk to all the restaurants and bars because it was centrally located. Would absolutely stay here again. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant was great. I have no complaints.
